I don't understand that thinking- the fact that the blue, the black and the grey all work in harmony together is the unique and rather cool thing about that design.

Take the blue away, and you have something much like the "new" 52 suit.

Just for live action. I'm not sure a 3 color suit would work on screen, I may be wrong but that's my knee jerk reaction. Obviously depending on execution it could look great, but I'm not sold. For animation/video games it would look fantastic though, it's a neat design.

Really though...actual lenses? Does he take them out like contacts or are they seen as glass layers on the mask? As I may have mentioned, I haven't read many of the comics but I've also never seen that in a several animated versions.

Actual opaque lenses. They're part of the mask. They LOOK like the "white eyes", but Batman and his associates have them specially built with various capabilities. Night vision, infrared, heads up displays, etc.

It's not supposed to just look like a lens. It helps his image as a "creature of the night".

Or a heads-up-display, similar to Iron Man's.
