Solid.

^ Why? What do people have against it?

I, personally, find it silly.

And there wouldn't be any point at a dark blue because then you might as well use black.

No, gray and black is the way to go.

We have it on pretty damn good authority that the suit won't feature blue color, even very dark blue, so I've stopped putting that in my manips. It's a shame, but I don't need blue more than I need the duo-tone with a gray body color, a utility belt that looks like it can actually hold stuff, and as I increasingly come to believe, SOMETHING other than eye-makeup that makes his eyes look more-than-human.

Anyway, here's my latest, based off of Vigilant's model and KalMart's comments- I've tried my best to take some of the weirdness out of the cowl/eyes. It didn't bother me, but I aim to please ;)

Someone asked for the Arkham logo too for the chest- well that's no problem, as something very similar was already on there.

But here's my fav version, using the Frank Miller-esque logo, since I have a sinking feeling that's what we're going to get in the movie, and with glowing eyes.

Bonus pic, this version of Batfleck, with Supes. Almost like a Super-Bromeo & Juliet Balcony Scene ;)

I would be happy with black-grey or blue-grey. Both are great.

And there wouldn't be any point at a dark blue because then you might as well use black.

Do we have to drag out the military research documents proving that pure black is sucky camo again? Black absorbs light, it doesn't blend and it sticks out like a sore thumb under moonlight and starlight. Blue makes sense. If you don't like it, fine, but please stop trying to pretend science is backing you up because it isn't.

Anyway, I was just pointing out a pic I liked and hadn't seen before but it's always comforting to know that however harmless you might think your comment is, someone will get offended and come along to **** all over it. Thanks again, internet.

I don't find blue silly, but I won't argue because it's your opinion and I like either Blue/Gray or Black/gray. I think blue looks beautiful when used right.

Very nice.

:wow::hubba Dat suit
could you put the eyes as white as your last manip?

Sure thing duder... I had to redo them (man, I wish this program could actually, y'know, save my projects properly) so they're not quite the same, but close...

As far as I'm concerned, I don't think the look of Affleck in the suit could get much better than this except by tinkering with the belt & gauntlets. I'm not tooting my own horn, I just think Vigilant did a great job, and Affleck has the right look. Although I will say I think this is the best I've matched Affleck's face to the image so far (except maybe that Tim Sale one I did for Coco).

Something about the white eyes really completes the "detective" look for me. I don't know why that is. I think it's because I've always thought of the eyes as Batman's version of the classic "magnifying glass" detective trope, even though they don't explicitly serve that purpose. Just something about those eyes... to me it says, "I'm taking in every last detail. My ability to absorb and process data, that's my greatest super power."

Actually better than expected.
I agree with you on the detective eyes and expect the new batsuit has something similar.

Very nice work.

Just don't see a large belt like that or the briefs working whatsoever.

Rendering is nice, just don't see the Affleck's suit looking anything like it.

I can't stand this anymore. I need a Batfleck costume reveal. :argh:

Personally, I prefer the longer ears (but not ears that are about a foot long) but that I like that manip. I still prefer the other, longer eared version myself though.

This is AMAZING!

if you could just make that emblem look less like velvet and more like the texture of the bat in the arkham emblem manip Battle Angel posted that would seal the deal.
