This to me was a great suit. Add the cape and a good cowl and you've got a perfect suit pretty much.

I think it's going to be difficult to go back to such an inflexible suit. Also I hated how much it scrunched up. But god damn if it look powerful in the right positions. The TDK suit was always tight. The only thing I really disliked was the Bat symbol. The Begins suit displayed it nice and proud. You know look at some pics, I would like the Begins suit but with the construction of the TDK suit.

But I do hope they lose the cape. It's too big and I feel it overpowers the suit a little.

Lose the cape?! Are you being sarcastic or joking or something...maybe I just misunderstood you? The cape is a big part of the Batman persona IMO. That Batman Beyond version lost it, but thats not really Batman. Id hate to see Batman in a movie without his cape...its just part of him!

Batman needs his cape. It's part of his theme of actually looking like a bat and he uses it to glide short distances.

I liked the bigness of the Begins suit, but I think a sleeker suit and bigger than life camera angles will help a lot for Ben :)

The Begins suit with Ben in it would be massive. including the ears and boots he'd appear to be like 6'6".

Bale looked perfect in begins.

I always thought his face took on a slightly gaunt quality in TDK and TDKR. He had a bit of a broader face in Begins.

I liked that aspect actually. He was young and fresh in Begins and by TDK you saw the wear and tear of him being Batman and of course to how he was in TDKR.

It was a good evolution. The TDK series was more grounded, someone trying to live as batman does would have repercussions on your health and well being.

I actually liked that too. I definitely enjoy his Batman Begins look (I always like seeing a "in prime" Wayne) but seeing him evolve was very neat. Even if it was unintentional seeing as Bale's own theatrics when it come to weight loss/gain for roles did that inadvertently. Nolan definitely capitalized on it though.

A movie made in England by a Hollywood company is still a Hollywood movie, and the actual costume designers aren't restricted by where the movie's being made. '89 and Returns had the same costume designer, for Heaven's sake.

True.. Bob Ringwood was at the helm for the first four movies, but I have dug deeper in to the rabbit hole. Looking to find out who did the work under Bob's supervision, to which, I think makes a big difference in the outcome.

Vin B. Did a lot of the sculpting for '89, but not so in the other films. Especially the Cowls... Others were hired, and I think the Cowls improved in the hands of the other artists. I am a fan of Vin's work, but I prefer the the cowls that came after. Just my preference..

I am also familiar with the man standing behind Bayle in the above pic, he was the hands on leader in the technical aspects of the "Begins" project.

I find that I like to look in to who the guys and gals who are/were behind the scenes, doing the work.. And it leads to hints of what is to be expected.

It looks like a robotic exo suit. Not exactly the acrobatic detective from the comics. :o
And why is Bale looking so serious in a random picture that has nothing to do with the movie filming?
That shows his commitment to get into the spirit of the role. You gotta give this man props

I believe that's his thinking face. Someone's probably talking to him. Maybe it's Michael Cain telling him what's going on. 'See, we came in this room then you put that on, now you're stood looking at me like I gone n got meself two eds. What da f***, masta Bale?'

Ah, the nomex survival suit for advanced infantry... too bad he painted it black, all it needed was a bat logo and it would have been enough - just look at the way the black on the forearms contrasts with the gray bodysuit.

I want one of these...
