Bosh, $760m! I was bang on.This time next week the serious countdown to a billion begins before we start looking to exactly how much further (and higher and faster) CM might go!
Jahns was disappointing, I didn't bother to listen to Stuckman's review (his TLJ review was laughable), the best one I saw was Red Letter Media. Jay did make some good and constructive points.I didn't bother to click on Magnus' review of Captain Marvel because I already knew that it's going to be negative, but if what you said is true then I will not sub to him ever again. Same with Jeremy Jahns, the way he refused to even say anything nice about the movie and just compared it to WW while heaping praise on that movie was such a stupid thing to do that I unsubbed to him right away. Chris Stuckman and Aggressive comics also didn't like the movie, but at least they urged their audience to check it out (still disappointed in their reviews though). Campea and Grace both gave it mostly positive reviews. Screen Junkies though... really disappointed in Dan and Roth, particularly Dan. Saying that The Dark World and Iron Man 2 are better than CM, to me, is him putting this movie on the bottom of the barrel. I usually agree with Dan on his reviews but not this time.
But, but, but....I thought it was going to run out of gas around 750 and, therefore, wasn't going to make any money.Bosh, $760m! I was bang on.This time next week the serious countdown to a billion begins before we start looking to exactly how much further (and higher and faster) CM might go!
It is already close to where I thought it would end up. With Venom, Aquaman, and now Captain Marvel, I've drastically undershot the last three CBMs.
A big reason why i stopped watching reviews until after I see the film is that it's gotten a little predictable in who would hate a film. I knew Johns and Magnus would hate this one from the beginning. Quite frankly i really don't see eye to eye with Screen Junkies anymore, and even Stuckman has soured me a little. I mean i think someone said Green Lantern was better than this. I can understand not liking this one but jeez. It's the trolling now that's annoying me. I want to see a new video now after this darn good drop!I didn't bother to click on Magnus' review of Captain Marvel because I already knew that it's going to be negative, but if what you said is true then I will not sub to him ever again. I think nearly everybody undershot all 3 of those. They’ve all done better than expected. These would be good numbers for even the top 3 solo heroes,l.It is already close to where I thought it would end up. With Venom, Aquaman, and now Captain Marvel, I've drastically undershot the last three CBMs.
Sheesh no kidding, I'm way off as well, but I felt if the movie was any good it would do $1B, but just based on being an MCU it would do no worse than $800M.It is already close to where I thought it would end up. Passing Avatar won't be easy.Sheesh no kidding, I'm way off as well, but I felt if the movie was any good it would do $1B, but just based on being an MCU it would do no worse than $800M.
Now I feel my Endgame number is way off. Endgame might pass Avatar.
Maybe someone who's keeping tabs on channels like G & G can tell us what the new goalposts are now for CM to be a certified flop.![]()
Now they're just saying CM is another bad movie that made a billion dollars. At least they're admitting the movie will be profitable.Maybe someone who's keeping tabs on channels like G & G can tell us what the new goalposts are now for CM to be a certified flop.![]()

I love this, but I am not looking forward to the whining when it knocks The Dark Knight out of the top ten.
Or maybe I am?
Maybe it would grow on you someday. Give it time.I still can't believe Marvel made a Captain Marvel movie that is on track to make a billion and I didn't even like it.
I hate my life
