I'm just a bit bummed that BP doesn't have his own jet, like in one of the LEGO sets. ;)

I'll admit I was kind of disappointed we didn't see more of his jet, but I guess that's going to be saved for the solo movie. What we did see of it looked exactly like the one from the lego sets.

I also hope that when they release they blu-ray they include the extended airport fight, because there were definitely some things cut out of it.

I previously proposed cutting off the beginning of the movie but on second thought, the most useless section of the movie (to its plot) was the whole damn airport scene. Cutting out the airport fight and all of the build to it (all of Wanda's & Vision's scenes, introducing Peter Parker, bringing in Ant-man) would cut the fat off of this movie... I can watch popcorn and enjoy it for popcorn but this movie was not fun--

wtf?? But that was one of the best parts of the movie??

MOS was good but this was epic. How the hell can anyone leave this film not entertained? It was refreshingly a grounded/realistic view of how the world would be with super heroes... What is wrong with you people?

I'm reading through criticisms against the movie and I'm just seeing a lot of people that are failing to put the pieces together.... I get the feeling that like with MOS, people that hate this movie just wanted a dumb, formulaic Marvel super hero movie.

Ooooh that explains it.

My friend told me american theatres will have 3 post credit scenes, can anyone confirm this?

How do you have 3 post credit scenes? I mean would two just play at the very end? That seems a bit excessive.

Originally there was meant to be 3 I'm pretty, the 3rd one was gonna be the hulk. Don't take my word for this, just stuff I heard around.

Why would the US version be different? Anyway there was only 2 in the UK version.

Yeah I know saw it last week, i'm assuming this is just a stupid rumor, kinda like that rumor about how in america theatres screening Amazing Spider-Man 2, Gwen's death would be different (Green Goblin would kill her with his bare hands)

Oh never heard that one either lol.

Yeah there was a scene filmed in tasm2 when Harry grabs Gwen and snaps her neck with his bare hands, then Spider-Man beats him to near death but he hears uncle bens voice in his head says "with great power comes great responsibilty" and doesnt kill him

Idk how many of you's have seen these, but these posters look epic af!

I wonder if the next time we see Captain America he'll be in his Black Uniform:

He wore this in the Comics after the US GOVT tried to make him their employee and he said he wouldn't do it (The first time this happened circa Cap 338)

It would be more epic if all of them were looking forward in front of them than some of them looking at the side.

true, it'd be cool if they changed the background so it corresponds with the perspective also

the black costume would be a nice change

Having now seen the film, my sole issue remains that the fight over the death of Tony's parents comes after they've already stopped fighting over the accords, and have "teamed up" against Zemo. I don't mind them fighting over two separate topics, but I honestly would have preferred no truce at all if it's not gonna last the rest of the film.

It was kinda cool cause you think it's over and that they're good and then they start fighting again

Gonna be watching this again a 3rd time tonight. With my friends who would be watching it for the 2nd time. My friend was commenting on how much she is spending on this movie. Haha. We have no regrets! My friend loooves Chris Evans as Captain America.

About the ending. I disagree with the comments saying that nothing changed. Just because Captain America sent a letter to Tony does not mean everything is the same, everything is ok.

-Tony never agreed to the Raft prison treatment so I understand why he was ok with the breakout.
-Steve and the others are wanted criminals now so they need to hide.
-the Accords is still active. Are all heroes who did not sign considered criminal now? Why is Ross enforcing this?
-we don't know what the new avengers will do now
-the trust and friendship have been damaged. They don't hate each other but it things have changed between the relationships of everyone.

May I request we don't quote the trolls? It's useless putting them on ignore if people quote them.

Good to hear.

When're you seeing it?

I'm so glad the Russo's are doing what they're doing in the MCU. Between TWS and now CW, I can't wait to see what they do with Avengers. And this film really holds a lot more weight and resonates more if you're a big fan of the MCU in general. It works so well.

The Spider-man end scene was phenomenal with Peter telling Aunt May he got hit by a guy named Steve from Brooklyn, and the person who hit him was huge... So pumped for Spider-Man next year.

As great as the Russo's are at staging action, did anyone feel like there were too many cuts and occasional annoying shaky cam?

So you expected some imaginary things that weren't advertised for the movie on the first place? Did you even see the trailers for this thing? The movie delivered 100% of what was advertised from the trailers. Never saw Red Hulk or any hints for it anywhere in these trailers.

And if the Lagos fight, the chase, the airport battle or the final fight weren't fun for you, I bet an hour of Batman and Superman not doing anything (in the first half of BvS), was great entertainment for you.

Does everything have to be in trailers these days? BvS gave away 80% of the movie in the trailer. The movie itself builds up to its own false climax when Zemo seems to be going to revive the 5 super soldiers on ice (but then kills them all). Red Hulk would have saved the movie from its lack of Hulk. Really, it is the Hulk that I will see IW for. Hulk is their best character and he still has no standalone film with Ruffalo.

The second they put Ross in the movie, I began hoping for Red Hulk. And then Bucky opens the trunk to show super soldier serum. It could have gone in that direction.

BvS had plenty of action and far more iconic imagery. The first hour of BvS has the death of the Waynes, Bruce racing through Metropolis, some espionage scenes, the knightmare sequence, and the Batmobile sequence (that might have been in the second hour). The weakest part of BvS remains its length. It has far fewer sequences that are easy to cut, but similar to CW's airport scene, the coolest scene (the knightmare) is the easiest to remove and leave for the director's cut.

And what's with bringing Man of Steel to this? I don't see any resemblance between them.

Because this movie harps on civilian casualties and destruction of property from start to finish. While BvS uses Batman as a vehicle for the critics of the MOS' ending; Civil War uses Tony as the champion of the critics. Marvel made this movie to wage war on DC.

You are proposing cutting the best part of the movie?

I agree the movie is a bit long and doesn't really start "tightening the screws" until the third act. But the truth is the stuff where it drags is mostly the Cap and Bucky stuff in the middle. It is important to the plot, but for sheer comic book joy the airport stuff is (pardon the pun) a marvel. Is it great cinematic storytelling? No, but none of the MCU movies really are. However, it is paying off on the fear that "the band is breaking up." And I think the dissolution of the Avengers is a far more satisfying thread than "what about Bucky?" for most audiences.

In short, you never could cut that scene as it is the centerpiece of the movie.

You have to drown your darlings. The scene does nothing for the plot. Here is how easy it is to replace--

EXT. Airport- Day

Steve and Bucky steal a plane and fly away.

EXT. Ocean- Day

Tony's helicopter lands on Ross' James Bond island/sub.
