Mr. Terrific?
Note: This is a video of a stunt rehearsal and doesn't include costumes or anything:
I am a Superhero. I am a Superhero, SuperHan. I am a Superhero!
He said it was captured all in camera so what would it be if not the volume or some volume equivalent like rear projection? Maybe a poster, but then that would definitely support the idea that it was only for a photo shoot and not from the movie.I initially thought this was the Volume, but apparently James Gunn is not a fan of it.
Happy 11th birthday to Man of Steel, the best not movie, but lead-up to a Superman movie there ever was. I still watch that Comic Con trailer sometimes.![]()
Imagine Dragons will be doing the movie theme. I'm calling it now.![]()
I think we need Chad Kroeger to make a comeback.
I’m of the opinion that if a filmmaker doesn’t think that the core tenets of a character “won’t work” then they shouldn’t do the film.At the time it released, I was barely in my 20s and was all for an action packed, gritty/darker take on Superman. By the time the first release of JL came out, I was ready for the traditional take on the character to come back. I still enjoy Man of Steel, but there's some things that just bother me to no end in that film.
I think where we are at currently in the world, we really need an inspirational, caring, true to the core boy scout. I think when MoS released, the boy scout version may have not worked (it could have, but if there was any time to try something different, I think it was then.) Now we have missed the traditional version of the character long enough, people who may have mocked it are more open to it. Just my thoughts. Could be way off based haha.
Precisely.I’m of the opinion that if a filmmaker doesn’t think that the core tenets of a character “won’t work” then they shouldn’t do the film.
I’m hopeful that we have an accurate take of the characters that isn’t ashamed of who the Kents, and Clark and Lex are at their core this time around.
This comment made me have a quick dive into the sub. As someone who genuinely enjoys MOS, i thought the general reception to that film was negative on here (one of the reasons i joined the hype) but ive been taken back by some of those ranking lists around that time (Some are actually comical) I guess most were done immediately before the dust settled but interesting to see nevertheless.Happy 11th birthday to Man of Steel, the best not movie, but lead-up to a Superman movie there ever was. Fingers crossed for Monday pics! Though I feel like the beach shoot will be able to be more isolated than the downtown one.
A park you say?

Can't remember if I posted this same idea here or somewhere else, but something similar to Spider-Man 2's opening credits recapping SM1 would be awesome, imo. Already basing the Superman suit off of Alex Ross KC suit, maybe hit him up for the opening illustration too haha!I've been thinking, it seems likely that we're avoiding the whole origin, krypton sequence this time, so, what about having the opening credits be the pages of a comic turning, but the images we see actually move?
We see krypton. a huge city is before us, mile high buildings go off in the distance as far as the eye can see.
large ships slowly fly overhead. Page turns.
We see baby Kal. He looks up at the faces of lara and jor-el, Who are lovingly looking down at him. He slowly reaches a hand up.
Page turns.
We see jor-el before the council, with an angry look on his face. He throws a stack of papers to the floor. He turns and walks off. Page turns.
Krypton is partially on fire. Buildings are collapsing all around.
Jor-el and lara hurriedly place baby Kal in a small car sized ship.
Page turns.
We see a ship blast into space. Behind it, we see all of krypton. It suddenly explodes.
Page turns.
Etc etc.
If you wanted, you could even show his first couple of years in metropolis, Lex, supes fighting metallo, intergang, etc.
End it with Clark at the DP, and transition to live action.
