So the suit has the "V" collar and not that turtle neck look the first image gives off, much better.

Notes:

- Superman saving people
- People he saved saying he's the best, that they'd prayed for a miracle etc in the newspaper article
- Clark Kent byline
- Jimmy Olsen picture credit
- Looks like freeze breath to put out fire
- Train pic reminiscent of For All Seasons panel - which was seen on Gunns inspiration wall
- Lex Luthor wins arcane Genius grant (nod to dc villain Arcane?)

Random detail, but I do appreciate that he's not like, destroying the train as he stops it, like we normally see in similar images. You would think in most of these situations he'd be able to slow it down gradually. :funny:

I'll have to have a good chuckle if the Ultraman rumors were false and we really do wind up getting Brainiac.

Quick @Boom zoom in on his crotch to confirm the trunks. :o

I like that as well. I wouldn't mind to see Gunn enhance a "super-control" ability if you will. Even seeing this scene with him just hovering an inch or two above the train tracks would be a nice touch. With the "20 people saved" clipping with "no casualties", Gunn looks to be leaning into the thought of his Supes being as careful and responsible as absolute possible in his heroics.

Why were these photos of photos taken by a potato

I have more questions about the collar situation

I never understood the people who hated the trunks and their need to be so vocal about how much they hate them.

So that alone makes me so happy that we’re getting them. Also, I don’t like my Superman looking like he’s in a giant blue baby onesie, the trunks are a much needed contrast and for that reason, they’ll never go out of style

I thought the same thing... but at the same time, given that this photo is likely to be a barely dicernable background detail, perhaps it's just that the artist didn't want to make things too complicated for himself... :whoops:
Same reason the cape also seems to have no movement despite the action! :nerd:

But more seriously, the imagery is very cool and (finally) looks like classic Superman action.

Don't you dare talk like this about Jimmy!

So, who does it better? Jimmy Olsen or Peter Parker?

I like how the belt is not a sleek modernized v-shaped thing. It's just a big broad belt.
Same!
And it also play well in the retro feel we're discovering with Metropolis sets. I'm thinking more and more that the costume reveal photo may not have given a glimpse of the real "patina" the film will have... which is good, because everything we're seeing now looks much better in my opinion.

I would be happy with either, as long as they look good on screen. Both have their benefits and shortcomings, depending on how you look at it.

A teaser trailer or our first look at the footage will tell more. It's tough to go by set images. Gunn will have his own lense and flare so to speak, but it's no secret we will be getting a classic rendition of Supes' world.

You know what, I'm gonna go back on something I said to you last time @Tra-El - I'm starting to think we will get some sort of footage at SDCC afterall. Nothing much, just a tease, and it might not even be released online...but I do expect something now. It's timed too closely with the end of filming for me to think Gunn won't want to put something out to celebrate.
