I think the Harry Lennix reciting the TDKR speech to the BvS logo reveal was the most hyped **** I had ever seen. Then the title happened and Ben Affleck's casting and dumbass ski accident delayed production. Then Ben was terrified it would suck so he got Chris Terrio to polish the turd.
It got so bad that I actually was curious to see what Goyer’s BvS script looked like

Good lord those were dark times

So who's going to marathon the Donner films, Returns, and Man of Steel before this one? I refuse to include BvS and JL for moral reasons.

If I bother to watch anything, it'll be some Fleischer, some "Adventures of Superman", Superman: The Movie & Superman 2, The Darkseid episodes of STAS, that one flashback episode of S&L, and a few episodes of MAWS.

Are they fighting in a baseball stadium or is the production using the stadium as a backdrop to digitally insert a background later?
They decorated the stadium with Metropolis signs so most likely they're there

This gave me chills (potential spoilers)

Ahhh Smallville: Awesome Luthor, mutants meteor freaks of the week, hyper-delayed flight, years upon years os school, "the blur", casting choices that aged like fine milk, two Jimmys... a polaroid of its time.

Somebody saaaaaaave meeeeeeee

You forgot hot Doomsday, Shadowseid, and Not Spike as Brainiac.

Smallville was originally supposed to be a Young Bruce Wayne show, and then we would get several seasons of Gotham later on. So everything eventually comes full circle.

Smallville does have a nostalgic place in my heart simply because, after watching later seasons of Lois and Clark together while we were dating in college, my wife and I were starved for live action Superman content when first married. We were quite poor, paying off school debt and didn’t have cable tv for several years, relying on rabbit ears for entertainment. But we had a friend who would tape Smallville on VHS and give it to us a few days later and we’d watch it together. We both knew it was a bad show, but it was our show (along with reruns of Bonanza.)

That said, we bailed in the later seasons The Doomsday stuff was just next level bad.
