Jeff Lemire and Gene Luen Yang totally nailed it. So much fun.

I think they'll become The Terrifics after the presumed corporate backing situation gets dismantled in this film.

Actually, in the comics, they were kind of beholden to Simon Stagg because in the story, he had stolen Terrifictech from Michael Holt, so their headquarters was out of Stagg Industries.

Interesting. They shot a scene in what's meant to be Stagg Industries so that could be the route. Lord is also in it so their could be a little Luthor/Stagg/Lord thing going on.

It’s funny, but when I read Simon Stagg, his voice in my head sounds a lot like Gary Busey.

A big part of Metamorpho’s story in the comics revolves around his love of Stagg’s daughter, Sapphire. So I’d assume Stagg will have a place in the film.

I had a day dream this morning while walking to the bus, of me walking out of the cinema in hysterical tears of joy because it was a great film with some purely joyful Superman moments in it.

Could be a premonition... could be a sign I've completely failed at keeping my expectations reasonable this time. Or maybe that's not even that high an expectation, the bars just much lower now... Who knows 😅
