Ok. I’ve held my piece, but I have to say it:

It is not really the Kingdom Come shield.

It’s much more the Warworld Saga shield.


We need to stop calling it the KC logo.

And I’ll also go on record that in a perfect world, the sequel would be an adaptation of Warworld Saga.

So just a poster of the S reveal. Well I live in Japan, and I didn't hear anything about Comic Con. At least I didn't miss anything...that I know of.

I have to admit I haven't been too excited for the film as much as others have. Not for the reasons some might think though. Perhaps, with age, I have become more patient? Partly, but no, for Superman, I would be jumping up and down the floor, however because of what happened two years ago, my excitement has narrowed down due to the recasting of Superman. I just wanted them to keep Cavill, and I was disappointed. I'm not that fond of the Kingdom Come logo. I don't know what the tone of this film will be or what the story will be like. Yet, I'm not desperately craving the trailer. But I think it's also for the reason that I don't want to get my hopes too high in fear of being disappointed again.

At this point, I do want to ask, when is the trailer coming out? All we have is a poster reveal of the backwards Z logo which we've already seen, but we were told a trailer will come out this month, but now...it's not? What's going on? Just when will it be?

This is my 3rd superman film with a new actor that I've had the pleasure to follow along with. SR, MoS, now this.

Plus, I got to see S:TM at the cinema when it first came out, and lots of other starts and stops with Superman through the years, ie, the superman lives fiasco, McG's Superman, Abrams proposed Superman, wolfgang Petersons Batman and Superman, etc etc.
So yes, I'm getting up there in age.

Remember, half the fun is the journey getting there. This has been fun.

CCXP was a bust but we're not even half way through the month. I still fully believe we're getting it this month, attached to either Sonic or Mufasa. Regardless, we know it's done and people have seen it. it'll be here soon enough.

Surprised you didn't use pics from the Warworld Saga that use the actual color scheme of our Superman 25 shield!

By the way, finished absolute Superman #1 last night, absolutely brilliant. I’m not 100% on the new Lois yet but I love everything else. Feels like a long overdue update. It’s funny how all that stuff to make Superman relevant is right there but for a long time dc was just like “make him a dick”

CCXP was a bust but we're not even half way through the month. I still fully believe we're getting it this month, attached to either Sonic or Mufasa. Regardless, we know it's done and people have seen it. it'll be here soon enough.

There's speculation that Gunn will wait until December 31st. Remember when he promised the announcement of the DCU slate in January of that year and he released the video at the very last day of that month?

This wall of text to say that you're butt hurt bc of Superman being rebooted with a new actor.

It's okay, man. I hope that someday you will be able to get over it. Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man being suddenly rebooted hit the same for me, so I do kinda get it.

But I was also very, very young.

I would love to see the teaser ASAP, but am ok with waiting for it, so far.

My biggest concern is everyone saying David will be the greatest Superman ever, and will blow you away. He could I do believe he is talented. But how long is this teaser, 60/90/120 seconds. I am sure people could say so after seeing the entire movies, but a teaser?

I hope the hyperbole is true, but it does seem a little overblown from just a teaser.

It's just the matter of the DCU hitting and we all know there's no guarantees with that. The general audience as a whole doesn't flock to Superman flicks. But Gunn's formula works and can win over the demographics that has been missing as to what audience the studio wants to speak to.

David is going to have the material. It's probably safe to say that he will be the most well rounded Superman in cinema by design. He's going to be a mixture of Reeve and Cavill IMO. Gunn has hinted about David's ability to be stoic and serious, so I think this film will surprise all of us with those tones. But of course, the motive is balance. That's what Superman needs right now is balance. They went one way and the other with Superman Returns and Man of Steel. Gunn's version I feel will be the balanced version we've all been asking for. Let's just hope it hits.

You, Flickchick and I have been saying that since it was first revealed and everyone still calls it the KC logo even though it clearly is not.

I agree, and that wasn't the point.

Earlier it seemed like Jeff Sneider was hinting at something DC-related happening tonight on the Warner Bros. lot.

But instead it seems like he was simply promoting his stuff. That's all.

Not a direct answer, but I'm using this message as a pretext to talk about the likes of Jeff Sneider and Grace Randolph...

It's funny because ever since I've been hanging out on this forum, so since 2007, I've been reading about everyone being annoyed by these bloggers/scoopers.
Yet in all this time, I've only come across their names and videos... on this forum.
Never have they been recommended to me anywhere. Their existence is perfectly contained to the posts I read here.

If you want, I can share my method to avoid them, and it's free : never listen to or click on anything from bloggers and scoopers.

But not to be too positive ( ), I'd say I'm not crazy about the font.
At first I found it a bit blocky, but to be more precise, it gives me the impression of a font that's been stretched out, that's not in its original form.

Yeah, it's very specific and sounds like gigantic graphic design nerd nitpicking, but hey!

Otherwise, I think the color scheme of the whole is pretty much perfect.

The idea that he shouldn’t use social media because he makes the projects is so lame to me. Just reads like Sneider is aping what he sees from other people online. Tweeting **** won’t stop a $200M+ film from “speaking for itself”. Such a thin take.

They should bring back the old ways of releasing highly touted trailers for this one

...by releasing it only during the 70mm showings for The Brutalist for that weekend.
