Is Kevin doing all the Batman voices? Also, please tell me that's going to be the main music theme for TDK. That was amazing music.

The animation looks amazing, and the concept itself is intriguing. Sort of a BATMAN: BLACK AND WHITE approach to the Nolan Batman mythology. I love Kevin Conroy, but I still wonder if he was the right choice for this particular version of Batman.

I figured that as well, but IMDB doens't list anyone else as Batman. That aside, the music was incredible.

It is IMDB, I wouldn't trust it too much. Though the voice credits have been released so believe whta you want at this point

i thought it was cool to see animated, i just wish they woulda used the joker =)

yeah. it does look like that, and it does look timm influenced.

Just to let you know, it isn't. That director/animator has been working in that kind of loose/wonkey style for awhile now.

An early review said Conroy does all the voices

With Man-Bat, Killer Croc and a few others being in this movie Does that mean Nolan's Batman now fits into the world of Singer's Superman? I mean because this movie does tie into The Dark Knight and moves away from the realism Nolan had somewhat.

man bat isn't in it.
even though this (supposedly) ties into nolan's universe, the animators and writers can still introduce characters that may not fit nolan's "realistic" view. Look at the Spiderman video games for instance. Sam Raimi wanted to keep Spiderman grounded in realism (maybe not to nolan's extent), but the video games still had characters that may not have worked so well on film, such as the rhino, for example.

Killer Croc is just a random thug, and the reason he looks like he does is because the animators are showing him only through the view of the fear toxin. He still looks like a normal human, its just the fear toxin that makes him appear "Killer Croc-ish." So it still fits into Nolan's "realism."

See, I don't know.

I'm thinking that Croc isn't as reptile-ish as he is in the comics or TAS, but I think he's more along the lines of circus freak "reptile boy." Skin condition, broken teeth, big mother****er. And all that's enhanced with the help of the fear toxin.

Just my $0.02 anyway.

I know he will be a big dude. What I meant by saying he looks like a normal human is that it would be obvious that he is a human being, unlike TAS..

I'm a bit curious as to the reasoning behind that casting choice too. I know he appeals to die-hard BTAS fans, but I don't know if i'd pick him for a 'Begins' type Batman.

Hopefully this will hold me over the last week or so til the release :yay:

...it's a voice. One that Conroy has cemented himself as the quintessential choice for doing it. Why wouldn't he fit? That's more up to the characterization if anything. Cause I sure as hell don't hear anything in Conroy that doesn't give off a "Batman" vibe.

Thats just my point, I don't equate 'Begins' batman character as the same guy as the Animated Series Batman character. They certainly behave differently, and have different pasts. If this is a tie in to Nolan's Batman, the voices of Bale and Conroy aren't very alike at all. Is this a BTAS animated movie or a Begins animated spinoff? Seems like they're trying to do both...

Conroy may perform differently with a different script though, at least thats my hope... a lot of the dialogue in BTAS was pretty hokey, and thats probably coloured my opinion of his ability.

Almost all of the dialogue in Batman Begins was "pretty hokey", so we should give BTAS a break.
