I think that's what it was. The animation is so vivid and intense, but his tone is almost too cool.

No, I think it's just because we've associated Conroy's voice with a very distinct Batman "look", that seeing it on a different artistic interpretation just contradicts what we're used to. It'd be like hearing Bale's voice on Keaton. It's just not something we're used to.

saw field test on demand, did anyone else think conroy's voice didn't suit that depiction? even as batman it just sounded weird to have that voice come out of that batman

YES!!!! Finally someone said it...YUK!!!!! That Batman suits the more grimy and gritty Bale voice. Why didn't they just use him??? Silly I dea for me to use conroy cause this is not the stick the chest out square Jawed Batman. Batman is in his late twenties early thirties here, but in conroy's it depicts him more so close to 40

The anime should be great, i didn't like that story's humans tho, i mean Gordon's nose was abit too big for my tastes. :P But hey, the different stories got different drawings so im sure i'll find the style i prefer the most. :d
