In his comments section, Devin basically said that his "source" has Talia pegged for the other villain role...

If true, this is EPIC!

No Talia, please.

When he says, "tie the whole thing together," I think he's referring to this film, not the trilogy altogether.

"Here we go again."

Boom,

Usually in trilogies, the third film tends to always call back to the first film in some form or fashion.

And since Nolan has made it very clear that this is his last film and that this trilogy has an ending, it only makes sense for him to tie this back to the first film in some form or fashion...and using Talia would be the way to do it...in a big, big way.

I'd rather they explore new ground with this last film, instead of revisiting something from a previous film.

Agreed.

All I need is Blackmask in there in a small "Maroni" type role and I'm, set!

Cinematic stories always tread new ground when they get to the end but they make it a point to call back to where it began. Every trilogy has done this.

I've never believed that Ra's reach in Nolan's universe was over after Batman Begins. The League was too wide spread just for it to go down with Ra's death.

This is the final film. Nolan has to go bigger than what he did with the Joker, in terms of the scope of the story...the landscape of the drama.

Reintroducing the League with Talia, along with Bane, Catwoman, the mob, and the GCPD is as big a canvas as you can get.

It makes Bruce's "rises" all the more meaningful for this finale...to overcome that many odds.

And clearly, if Talia is indeed in, Selina definitely not going to be in a villain role. Anti-hero all the way.

A solo Talia being added to this film would significantly downgrade the movie's potential. We already know that he's returning to the mansion and the cave in this one. Add in a reference to his parents somewhere and it's more than enough to say that the series has come full circle.

After the Robin Williams thing, I am refusing to get excited over anything that is NOT official.
Other wise its a bunch of horse poop.

I honestly can't think of any reason to include Talia, if not to bring back the League of Shadows and to add the obvious revenge angle. I don't want either.

I'm not going to pull a baleheadbrasil and boycott the film if Talia is involved, but I'm just not on board with the character being in the film. I never found her that compelling of a character, and I'm bored by the story implications of her inclusion.

Put me with Bat-Mite. Bruce Wayne returning to Wayne Manor and the Batcave, him revisiting his parents, and Batman rising/redeeming himself at the end are enough to bring this franchise full circle.

No need to revisit villain plotlines.

Why must Talia be solo? Why stop there I ask! Why not also have Liam Neeson return, Talia can dunk him in the lazarus pit. Nevermind the fact that the train he was on blew up therefore has probably no remains. All Talia needs is a piece of his hair or DNA and the rest of him can regenerate. Let's do it!

I have no interest in the league of shadows returning to Gotham. Really...that would just make the world Nolan has established seem somewhat small. Three films and two of them are about the League of Shadows trying to destroy Gotham. No thanks.

It can regenerate his body to a reptile-like state and we could get R'as Al Crock!

How do we know he is returning to the mansion? Did I miss something? And I know for a fact there is no confirmation on a BatCave.

Because they've been building the mansion and Batcave since the first film? Why wouldn't they include them for Nolan's final Batfilm?

But nothing has been confirmed. Most people thought it would be there in the Dark Knight. We have no idea how much time passes between TDK and TDKR, so you cannot say a cave or mansion will be in the next film. Nothing is certain until Nolan says so.

Same here. At this point I doubt she's in it anyways...thankfully.

If Talia is in this, than even for Nolan thats a whole lot of **** to cram in there, Two new major characters in Bane and Catwoman, and one of the tem is sure fire main villain while i am sure Catwoman is gonna be somesort of Anti Hero/love interest, than you got the whole fact that Batman is one the run from the GCPD, now maybe including Tali and the LOS which would definetley add a whole lot to the plot,

IDK that is alot of storylines going on and thats the same thing that has killed othe third movies like Spider-Man 3,X-men 3,

Obviously this is all speculation, but even for Nolan that seems like alot.

Personally, I cannot fathom Nolan finishing this series without returning to Wayne Manor and the Batcave.
