What is it with people enforcing what fans are allowed to want and not want - much less talk about it?

This behavior is no better than baleheadbrasil and her demanding that people shut up about Catwoman or Hugo Strange, etc.

This is a fan forum. It's a place where fans talk about what they would like to see. As long as they aren't trolling or breaking any rules, I don't see the harm in that, even if I disagree with some of them.

Which goes to show ya what people know. One poster even went as far as to mention Cavill getting overlooked twice by WB, and to "prove" his/her point, he/she said that WB looked at Routh's audition again and Cavill's are somewhere forgotten and crap like that. But our boy got the job, alright!

Haha. Actually, from what little you can find about the two of them, they get along quite well.

Honestly, I just wouldn't worry about how many are in the film, in terms of antagonists.

The one good thing we know about Team Nolan is that, script-wise, it's going to be tight. They don't half-ass it when it comes to script. They take their time to get it right as possible. The edits, that are normally made in post-production, are made in the scripting phase with Team Nolan. This is why we don't see traditional deleted scenes on his home video releases. He's already done the work in the scripting phase.

If they feel that three "traditional" villains is what is needed to finish off this trilogy in this particular film, then they've long ago figured out a way for it to all plausibly work within the script. The story logic within this universe will make sense in the script.

Psht. Not realistic enough! Neeson's Ra's was just one of many, anyway. Talia's the daughter of them all because all 500,000 ninjas signed paperwork to officially adopt her, so that's how Nolan gets past the trouble of her being Ra's' daughter. In this new movie, we find out that the falafel guy is the new head honcho Ra's and that he distributes Venom to all the criminals in the city through his falafel in order to help Bane wear Batman down. Also, Talia kidnaps Alfred and tortures him by making him put suntan lotion on scantily clad Russian ballerinas.

Probably because he thought it was a stupid question. He's just too much of a gentleman to say so. It's a bit like asking if Bruce Wayne is going to be Batman.

Couldn't have said it better. I think team nolan wouldn't hesitate one second to pass over a major villain if they didn't fit into the story/script. That's why Bane intrigues me to no end. I'm curious to see what they come up with b/c I was convinced either Riddler or Strange would have been the next major villain in Batman 3.

It's the end of the trilogy. Why would you introduce Selina Kyle at the END of a trilogy, and not have her be Catwoman? Couldn't you just replace the name "Selina Kyle" with any other female name, and have it make just as much sense? If Selina is simply a love interest, why not have Vicki Vale instead?

Also, I get the impression that Academy Award Nominee Anne Hathaway wants to continue making a big name for herself. Surely the correct way to approach that is NOT by playing "Selina Kyle, the woman who eventually becomes Catwoman, one of the most widely-regarded and popular female characters of all-time... but I won't Catwoman; I'll just be a one-dimensional love interest at the END of the trilogy." I don't buy that for a second. And neither should anyone else.

Come on, it's Anne Hathaway. I'm sure she was excited to be offered the role made famous by iconic and sexy actresses like Julie Newmar, Lee Merriweather, Eartha Kitt, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Halle Berry. Any actress would kill for this part. If Nolan and WB approached her and said, "Hi Anne, how do you feel about playing Selina Kyle, but NOT being Catwoman?", even Anne Hathaway herself would've been disappointed - and maybe even said "I'll pass, but thanks for the offer."

We will see Catwoman.

Nolan explained he wanted to walk away from Batman after The Dark Knight, but felt he needed to finish the story. "For me it's all about endings. We're telling Bruce Wayne's story", Nolan said.

To be honest I'd be pretty peeved also (and I don't even like catwoman that much).

If you're going to have Selina kyle you've got to have catwoman. It just seems so odd and pointless. Why not just get Vicki vale or silver st cloud instead?
