"You think this'll last....there's a storm coming Mr. Wayne. You and your friends better batten down the hatches. Cause when it hits the city you are all gonna wonder how you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us."

makes me think she might have shades of poison ivy too? (a social conscience, manipulating bruce for a cause.).

Ha, so now there's a financial/economic collapse allusion to add to TDK's post-9/11 allegory.

Something along the lines of:

"...Blah blah blah for yourself, without leaving anything for the rest of us. There's a storm coming, Mr. Wayne. You'll have to batten down the hatches....Blah blah blah."

The acting is so bad here, the lines don't even matter.
Ok having your opinions is all fine and dandy but don't be a prick to other people cause one trailer didn't live up to your ridiculous expectations.

The lights go out, and the troll comes back out.

I read that Anne beat out TONS of other big time actresses to win the role. Hathaway is gonna blow us away. Book it. Nolan chose her for a reason. Just like he chose Heath, and how he chose Hardy for Bane, and JGL in Inception.

Yes, Hollywood, with their hippies and socialists and their endless onslaught of violent action movies and overwhelming concern with profits.

Same way I feel about people who spew nonsense about human rights for embryos but don't give a damn about anyone once they're outside the womb. Oh hey, here's another fun one. "I worship Jesus... but I'm a gun nut and pro-death penalty." Oh. That's not the least bit contradictory or nuthin'.

lol politics
Tonight was my first time back in a few months. Forgot why I don't post much. People always looking for a fight. But the same rules always apply. Can't win an argument with a baby killer so why start?

Sadly as great as AH may end up being, I will always believe there was someone better. WB is notorious for forcing female leads into the tent poles. Nolan actually dealt with this once in the past.

This time the lead also had to be an action star.

Ok so up until now I didn't understand a word she was saying but.... now that I see this... does it seems like she's working for the LOS? Kinda like a buffer to prepare for their arrival? (ala ScareCrow in BB). Anybody get this feeling?

And this is the same guy who cast Katie Holmes and Maggie Gyllenhaal and directed the ferry scene and the train scene and who will now dazzle us with a football game on a crumbling field.
There is nothing wrong with Maggie's performance, and the ferry scene is about as good as extras get in most films.

Also you forgot all the insanely GOOD casting and directing hes done, juxtaposed by very few things. The same can be said for any good director.

To be fair... how many big actresses were lining up to play Rachel Dawes? I don't think he had much to chose from when he picked Katie, and when he replaced her I think he was forced to go with a good actress who somewhat resembled Katie (I know she's not a spittin image but they both got really saggy eyes).

Also what's wrong with the Boat scene? It's a little much at times but I didn't think it was that bad. In fact first time I saw it I loved it.

Hathaway is a fine actress. I think she's saddled with pre-conceived notions of her acting because most people still just remember her from the Princess Diaries. But she's done good work (notably with Ledger in Brokeback Mountain), and she certainly has the acting chops for it. She doesn't have that sultry look about her, but what are you gonna do?

Is Anne an action star?

Sounds like you have no social or debate skills and you're blaming it on the world/internet/what have you. Never killed a baby. Never worshiped a figment of my imagination, either. Just some fun facts, throwin' it out there.

This was probably around the time T2 came out...I was seriously like 16 or 17 and I wanted to be a film director. I'm walking through the airport and I see JAMES ****ING CAMERON! He's sitting alone(Now I know why) and I just walk over to him and I ask "Excuse me sir, am I mistaken or are you James Cameron?" He responds with a murmur "yes" and I tell him I'm a big fan of his work and I want to be a film director. He says he's heard the same story from many kids who haven't been in the real world before. Then I tell him that it won't change my goals of achieving my dream(not in a defensive tone, more in an optimistic tone). He then asks me if I'm calling him a liar, and I respond no. He seems very upset so I apologize and say something along the lines of "I'm sorry sir, I just wanted to talk for a few moments and maybe get an autograph". He looks straight in my eyes and says " Look *******, my flight is delayed and I want some peace and quiet. I could care less about your dreams to direct. Its insulting you'd think I'd care". I was still a kid so I left. If that happened now, I would have gone off on him, but instead, I just wrote bad reviews for all of his movies back when I was a critic......I still saw AVATAR twice though....Goddamn you Cameron.:cmad:

Wow. What a tremendous *******.

How can some say that Batman is pushing politics? Thats pure rubbish!

Didn't blame anything on anyone. As far as my skills, I have learned to not argue with people who operate purely on emotion because you can't win when the argument isn't based on fact. Libs always attack christians about their faith, why. Tree hugging is based on imagination too. By the way,who the **** are you and why did you attack me anyway? Quit trying to bait me

I think Nolan does include socially relevant themes in his movies, and sometimes that can be viewed as him "pushing" his "agenda" at people. However I'm of the mind that he does it more to make his movies resonate with public than anything else.
