Still hard to tell who's on the roof of Wayne Manor though.

Is anyone else getting Batman: The Cult vibes? That is, assuming that we're correct in that Bruce is being held captive.

That can only mean one thing. :awesome:

Seriously though, Blackfire's not in this movie, but if he was I would explode into insane laughter right in the middle of the theater thinking of all the SHHers who would eat crow. And I would come back here and rub it in their faces.

Oh, and Selina scares the crap out of me. She's almost creepy.

All set to see SH:2 tonight at midnight, will have to try and absorb enough of the trailer to last until monday. Ahhh first world problems.

Also, my first post since 2008. So there's that.

Christ I need a new signature, I am just a tad out of date.

Bane = The Fire Rises.
Batman = The Dark Knight Rises.

Batman prevails in the end and puts the fire OUT.

I'm sensing an EPIC fight between Bruce and those people rappelling down the well.

A few random notes -

Hathaway looks gorgeous, mysterious, and threatening. A true femme fatale, the way Selina should be.

Alfred is going to make me cry. :csad: I absolutely adore the chemistry between Caine and Bale.

well it looks like he's being held underground. but that's about it. although Bane does seem to have a cult like following they don't seem too religious. Although the look on that one guy who stayed behind in the plane did look pretty enthralled.

Yes, and I suppose the fact that Knightfall is a widely regarded crucial storyline in the mythos and Bane's impact on the comics at the time has nothing to do with the fact...

Oh look, you conveniently used your mod powers to respond to my post AFTER you closed the first thread. Was it so hard to do it here?

Anywho, I disagree with your position that Knightfall is a widely regarded, and crucial story line in the mythos. Who regards this and by what measurement? I've never talked to a Batfan who openly gushed over Knightfall. Long Halloween? Hush? Killing Joke? Yes, people often cite those as important stories in the mythos. Knightful is just an excuse to cream jeans over Bane.

Even in Arkham City, Bane is more or less considered a joke character, and it's the best Batman game to date. So by that measure, I cannot hold all these straws the Bane lovers are grasping at.

Are we still sure that it's Bane climbing out of the well in the teaser? I'm starting to think that it's Bruce. It's kinda symbolic actually. He now has to climb out on his own without his father helping him out.

Does the henchman who sacrificed himself on the plane seat himself in? You don't really see much of anyone onboard when the plane detaches and falls.

I was saying the exact same thing. I made a post about it and everything! :awesome:

Yeah, I wouldn't presume that Nolan's actually turned Bane into a Blackfire surrogate, but the parallels are interesting if (in all likelihood) purely coincidental.

Also interesting to consider the thematic connection of Bruce being held prisoner to Bane's origins, whether said origin is mentioned or not.

Plus Bruce is wearing baggy clothing. The person climbing up the hole is also wearing baggy clothing. There is also a shot in the trailer of a single person going down the hole, but his legs are flailing. It almost looks like he's falling. He's holding onto the rope though. Maybe Bruce climbs up, but then he falls? And he keeps having to try and climb? Like a test?

I'm not sure if this should be spoiler-tagged, but I'll do it anyway. Did somebody have a theory that
the person waiting outside for the prisoners is actually Tate(lia)?

All he needs is a fire extinguisher. Who knew? :funny:

Looks like it to me.

At the risk of getting into some drawn out ridiculous argument:
Any comic/Batman fan will agree that Knightfall was important. Not everyone agrees about the quality. Same with Hush. I loved it but I've heard some fans say it was overrated. And is Bane really a "joke" in AC? Or are you just guessing?

Bane does the speech and than tears up Dent's photo standing on the same Tumbler that blows up the Blackgate prison. So yeah, i dont think is tate/talia. :cwink:

Saw it with Holmes. My favourite part was actually Selina giving Bruce her veiled threat; cool stuff.

Bruce actually doing the fighting not as Batman?

I would bet on it!

That's Bane. Queen Marion's legs are NOT that huge.

Sounds like you got some Ninjary going on! :D That sequence is in India or the well in the grounds of Wayne Manor? Will they battle on the ropes or just in the well?
