Mister Terrific.Whos that?
Mister Terrific.Whos that?
Well I figure if Gunn can turn the Guardians into household names I wouldn’t doubt he can do the same for Mister Terrific. Are there that many people who want a Mr Terrific movie? I've always seen him as one of those 'Oh yeah...he was there too' kinda characters.
Maybe, I guess.Well I figure if Gunn can turn the Guardians into household names I wouldn’t doubt he can do the same for Mister Terrific.
I mean yeah we’ll see it’s just those earlier DCEU movies really hurt the DC name in film that’s not Batman or you get the rare movie like Aquaman. Peter Safran and James Gunn have a battle on their hands to redeem the DC brand for movie going audiences. I don’t know if an Mister Terrific film will work but I do trust James Gunn so we’ll see. I hope they can find success like Aquaman and with the quality of The Suicide Squad.Maybe, I guess.
Just a weird choice. Are there that many people who want a Mr Terrific movie? I've always seen him as one of those 'Oh yeah...he was there too' kinda characters.

DC movies lack consistency and synergy.I dont even think its the movies really.
I mean yeah, i could see Green Lantern having really cooled off people on that front, but other than that, i dont think its that.
Maybe its Superhero fatigue, maybe it is really that Disney has fully captured the market that people give DC a harder time.
Part of me wants to blame the "fandom" on it that feels just this much more negative over everything.
Like, outside of the whiny "M-She-U" etc incels over at Marvel, it seems Fans give the Marvel stuff far more leash than the DC fans do.
But maybe that has to do with the Marvel Formula of Filmmaking.
Maybe that Formula is the key to the success in terms of fans and General Audience.
Maybe that is what makes it easier going into a Marvel movie than into something like Black Adam or so.
Which i dont really see, because i love the unique styles and approaches to the DCEU.
The differences in movies...but maybe thats the problem.
Maybe Disney has the perfect storm here that makes it so very hard for WB to be able to gain ground consistent.

I honestly can't wait to see how will this end.him calling the shots, bringing that philosophy to the priority of the DCU is worrisome (first posts being about Lobo and Mr Terrific), when we don't have the big guns done right yet.
IMO the DCU needs to feel like the DCU first, Superman and the JL up and running, for me to welcome the ancillary characters with open arms.
Different strokes and all that. I don't see it as scraping the bottom of the barrel in the slightest.I haven't even heard Mr. Terrific until now....Personally I'd be more excited for Lobo and Mr Terrific than the likes of Zatanna, the Atom, Hawkgirl and the Martian Manhunter.Different strokes and all that. The character is versatile. You could use him in a solo film, a JSA movie that spins off their introduction in Black Adam or in the Terrifics, which was a Fantastic Four type knock off team DC had.Are there that many people who want a Mr Terrific movie? They had a not so great version of the character on Arrow for multiple seasons.I haven't even heard Mr. Terrific until now....
. Holt is up their with Batman and Lex Luthor as one of the smartest men in the DC universe.the Terrifics, which was a Fantastic Four type knock off team DC had.
I don't watch DC shows. So that Mr. Terrific was new to me.Gunn likes using obscure and lesser known characters. Personally I'm all for it. Only so many A-List heroes you can use and there are plenty of solid characters that could strike gold with the right adaptation.
Most people had never heard of Guardians Of The Galaxy or Blade or Ant-Man or Shang Chi and yet they all went on to have hit movies.

Michael Holt (Mr Terrific) is a black billionaire super genius polymath renaissance man with s super science balls. Holt is up their with Batman and Lex Luthor as one of the smartest men in the DC universe.
Wasn't he in JLU? And some of the arrowverse stuff? I also feel like he was in the DC Lego game but I could be wrong on all accounts. LolDC often try proof of concept for proposed live action characters in their animated movies, but the only DC animation I can think of that involved Mr Terrific is the 2019 movie Justice League vs the Fatal Five. And he's not exactly the star of that, it's a Jessica Cruz story.
