FYI, Gunn confirmed on Twitter the announcement won’t be this week as rumoured.
It seems odd that rather than have an absolute cut-off point where they cease the old and bring in the new, some old stuff might linger and blur the lines. Obviously we don't know yet, but with the speculation and rumour about some current versions of characters staying (Robbie, Cena), others definitely being gone (Cavill, Johnson), and of course with others uncertain (Gadot, Momoa, Levi), we need those announcements!so 2023 is the Year that the Old DC Universe say Goodbye 2024 will have a Joker Movie and then for 2025 what? The Batman 2 maybe but that only will be one Movie i think the New Superman Movie will came out in 2025 or 2026 i think it is more realistic that it comes out in 2026 the most earliest date with luck for the end of 2025
Which one was worst? WB's DCEU or Universal's Monster Universe?People are so impatient when it comes to their favourite franchises, especially with DC. The last time the studio rushed things with big time announcements and fast tracked a cinematic universe, it ended up being a disaster. I'm not saying that this won't happen here, but taking their time until they are more certain of some sort of a plan and what to reveal is certainly the right approach.
I think the Monster Universe takes the cake just because they tried with three consecutive movies to kickstart a universe and with each one failed miserably to achieve something that was done successfully almost a century ago.Which one was worst? WB's DCEU or Universal's Monster Universe?
... Where? None of his recent tweets say that.FYI, Gunn confirmed on Twitter the announcement won’t be this week as rumoured.
Can you link it? I'm going through his feed and is not anywhere on sight. It was in a reply to a tweet.
Maybe I missed some tweets or whatever (I don't really use social media), but right now, I think a lot of people are expecting way too much from this "slate announcement" and setting themselves up for a disappointment. I'm pretty sure we won't get anything more than a confirmation of the new Superman movie and maybe a word about another film. That's it. I don't think we'll even hear anything about directors or cast...
With Shazam 2, The Flash and Aquaman 2 to occupy the entire year, I imagine WB won't make too much noise about this reboot until all those movies are out. When it appears that most people have forgotten how to enjoy a movie if it's not connected to a larger whole, it may be best to keep it quiet about the fact that everything is about to start again soon.
Also, maybe it's just me, but the more I hear from Gunn, the less I feel like anything has been truly set yet. And frankly, it makes sense. He and Safran officially got the job less than three months ago, and there was the holiday season in the middle of it, so...
