I think a Shazam/Superman vs Black Adam film is far more interesting then vs to vs film which sounds kinda boring.

Ridiculous - 0% reason not to introduce a super expensive film with amazing testing scores.

This guy has produced a handful of tiny things and doesn’t seem to have association with anyone involved.

Aside from that, I think the “tax cut” window has closed.

To me it sounds like he’s basing this off the fact that it’s the one upcoming connected universe film Safran isn’t a producer on? That’s the only obvious reason for the statement. That’s silly though. Why would Gunn and Safran start their tenure with a red entry of $300m plus in their ledger? There will be back end deals they have to pay out, etc. Cancelling a theatrical release is much harder than a streaming release.

Not my money, not really my concern, but if it was, I would have reshot the ending with a new actor as Flash.

I would have shown ezra's barry attempting to go back to his normal earth/time, but something goes wrong.
Several other Flashes are attempting the same thing at the same time, and they all get mixed up and sent to different Earths.

I never said he wouldn't sign or that he wouldn't return. I said that every trade says he has not signed a deal for Man of Steel 2 and that there is no writer, no director and no movie. I post reputable sources which say this in black and white and you read them and say they're wrong.

You then post sources indicating Wonder Woman 3 is in development with Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot and that Jenkins is delivering a script treatment to the studio and claim the project has the greenlight.

I'm not engaging with you anymore on this. I have no horse in the race of making you understand how Hollywood works, and truthfully I expect both a Jenkins/Gadot Wonder Woman project and a Cavill-led Superman movie to be among the first things that Gunn/Safran DO give the greenlight to.

If you want to believe that Superman has the greenlight without a director or a writer, and that Cavill has signed a super-secret deal that WB is hiding for some reason and that the Hollywood Reporter and Deadline have been lied to about, then I'm happy for you to. If you want to believe that David Zaslav has given the greenlight to a Wonder Woman 3 without a script after the critical and commercial failure of Wonder Woman 1984 then I'm happy for you to as well.

Ironically, I just read the Hollywood Reporter article and I agree with you - Henry Cavill probably just closed his deal for a Superman solo film today .

Maybe Waller sends Task Force X into Khandaq on a mission knowing full well that they’ll run into Black Adam and cause an international incident which will, in turn, bring Superman into the fold—as those two duke it out, Task Force X is clear to carry out its mission just as Waller planned…

See, that sounds like a perfectly valid Suicide Squad plotline, *and* a good anti-hero/anti-villain use for Black Adam. Its also a nice change of pace versus the last two SS movies, where however terrible the Squad were, there really wasn't any ambiguity about who to root for, because the opposition is some kind of black hat puppy kicking evil ( if not an outright existential threat ). Here, you could have legitimate uncertainty about whether "Black Adam catches the Squad and starts murdering them" is actually a *bad* thing, especially if you lean into it by making the roster less sympathetic than normal and the goal sufficiently grody.

( This can work regardless of the intended tone, mind. If you still want the movie to generally be fun, then its less "lets wallow in our filthiness and villainy", and more "the bad half of the team gets whats coming to them". )

If it's true....not a good look for them and their actrsses/female characters.

Mera gets cut down to a cameo in Aquaman.

Supergirl gets cut down for more Superman.

Batgirl gets cut entirely.

Zatanna canceled.

Black Canary likely canceled

I would imagine cavill has signed a multi picture deal that includes cameos, one or two solo films, and a couple of ensembles.
He would not have announced superman is back for just a couple of cameos.

I also think the Rock told WB "either bring cavill back as Supeeman or BA is a one and done for me". Or something to that effect.
