No ones saying he had control over sly. He said he wouldn't do it if it was an R film and Sly abliged him and chose to make it PG-13. Key being that Sly did it because he wanted Norris in his film. No where does it say anyone was forced to do it. At this point it comes down to how bad Sly wants Norris in the film. If its a lot then we are looking at a PG-13 film.
Well then my arguement is is Norris really worth it?
I mean i'll say upfront that I was one of the few people who DIDN'T want him in the movie for the simple reason that he's become a joke.
Yeah yeah, I know, he's an 80s action star as well but c'mon, with all the Chuck Norris meme's and Conan O' Brien clips of "Walker Texas Ranger" back then, the guy is a walking parody of his former self.
and yet I Sly thinks he's that important for the film that he's willing to waterdown a film with the greatest collection of action movie stars for the sake of ONE MAN?![]()
Agreed. And to those saying a PG-13 rating would be just fine is missing the principal. The first film was a throwback to 80s action movies. Those movies were rated R and violent. This movie needs to be R and violent otherwise its just another watered down action movie. The market is flooded with those.
I feel the same way as you. Chuck Norris is a parody of himself today, and I never wanted him in these films so id prefer an R rating to chuck Norris.

Stallone confirms that it's PG-13.
"The PG13 rumor is true," Stallone writes, "but before your readers pass judgement, trust me when I say this film is LARGE in every way and delivers on every level. This movie touches on many emotions which we want to share with the broadest audience possible, BUT, fear not, this Barbeque of Grand scale Ass Bashing will not leave anyone hungry."
They could pull off a PG-13 and still have it be violent. I don't care about profanity and the cgi blood looked terrible. However I want to see them push the envelope. We need as much brutality as we can get.

Well folks, we have another Chuck Norris fact:
Chuck Norris made The Expendables 2 a PG-13 film.
