This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]502929[/split]
It's reasonable. And Marvel/Disney could wait to announce the new FF to avoid directing too much attention (mostly sensationalist at this moment) to a property that won't see a movie in 5 years.Best case scenario: Fox and Disney have already reached a deal, with Disney getting back the FF rights package and Fox getting the green light to produce TV shows based on their X-Men universe. Obviously such a deal would not be announced immediately since it would open Fox up to even more embarrassment and ridicule. Fox announces an X-Men TV show in next few months. Feige announces FF as Phase 4's flagship in a couple of years. Bizarrely, this scenario actually seems semi-plausible to me as of now.
I got thread-jacked! Here's what I said one post before Mr. Thread Manager came in and schooled me.

There is zero chance a sequel goes forward. I think the cast and studio would sue/counter-sue each other into oblivion if they even think of moving forward with a sequel. The press would flay everyone involved.
Worst case scenario: Fox sits on the property for another 7 years and stupidly hopes that everyone's forgotten about their first three attempts come 2022.

I think everythings open to discussion. No decision I think has been made on anything yet like that. Theres chats everyones going to have on the phone at some point, but the Marvel brand is such a powerful brand. Marvel doesnt always work out great Thor 2 didnt work out especially well, Iron Man 2 didnt work. But then Iron Man 3 comes along and its great. These things can be uneven sometimes. Avengers 2 is nowhere near as good as Avengers 1.

Yeah if I were an investor and Fox didn't take that deal I think I'd want some sort of explanation.Been saying that for months.
This is the only course of action that gives EVERYBODY(studios and fans) what they want, lets FOX save a little face, and everybody is happy.
If FOX doesn't sign off on something like this, then literally everybody will know they are dangerous lunatics.
Looks like Millar had another case of "foot-n-mouth-itis" lately.
When asked about F4's future he says this:
.....Why throw Marvel under the bus as if either of those films are as bad as 4stic. H3ll both of them have better Domestic numbers than 4stic has WW....
Didn't work out??? Both IM and Thor either have had or will have a sequel Following those films. And as for as quality goes let's compare Fox's worse to Marvels...
MCU:
Iron Man 2: 72%
Thor: The Dark World: 66%
The Incredible Hulk: 67%
FOX:
X-MEN ORIGINS - WOLVERINE: 38%
ELEKTRA: 10%
Fant4stic: 9%
So what is Millar talking about?
The British Film Board has startrd listing some of the Blu ray features and so far NO deleted scenes--- cast, score, making of etc.
God will I be happy if there are none for the blind boosters to fawn over.
Of course, this will bring out calls of a cover up--- Fox hiding Tranks masterful scenes so the world won't blame them for ruining the mastpiece.
Within a day or two more they should be done classifying the extras.
