The problem from top to bottom with Smallville was that, for the better part of it's run, it was a comic book show that did it's best to hide that it was a comic book show. That doesn't seem to be the case here.

Since the Flash is a more lighter character than Green Arrow, and on how we'll have more themes regarding superpowers dealt with on this show, do you guys expect the tone for the series to be similar to that of "Smallville"?

I don't think it will be like Smallville in tone. Similar to what sawyer said Smallville featured comic book characters but it was a teenage drama like 90210. I really don't mean that in a bad way. It was a show that was combining genres and sometimes these show focus on one aspect more than the other.

Last night I caught a Cyborg centric episode of Smallville on tv. I'd never seen it before, but it was a great episode! Really well done. I loved seeing Clark interacting with other superheroes on Smallville.

That show has a bad rep, but it had some great episodes.

He means that Smallville was a young Supes along with the "no tights" mentality, but I agree. I don't think tone was the correct term. I don't believe it will have the tone of the '90's show either though. I think it'll be somewhere between that and Smallville with better writing obviously.

Agreed.

I loved the noir, Tim Burton-esque vibe of the 90s show. It worked surprisingly well. But I'm really digging the Raimi Spiderman vibe of this one. Grant wouldve been a great Peter Parker.

Steel reference! And Grodd Lives written on the sidewalk!

1) Amertek, owned by John Henry Irons
2) Stagg Industries, a famous corporation in the DCU
3) Queen Consolidated
4) STAR labs sign
5) Big Belly Burger, fast Food chain from the DCU

All I can think is that Barry is running in a really stupid way...

So, they're implying that Steel might be on the horizon?

Judging from the pilot I think the tone will be like the first Spider-Man movie.

I could absolutely live with that. There's no need to have multiple shows with the same feel just different characters. If Arrow is going for a darker feel, then Flash being akin to Spider-Man is perfectly acceptable to me.

I don't think Easter Eggs are always supposed to do immediate future plot foreshadowig. They certainly don't at any rate. Sometimes it's just a cool nod to a character, or at best, that John Henry Irons exists in this universe.

Is Stagg the skyskraper way in the back?

Also Kord's business, the building next to Amertek

I've actually seen a lot of promotion for this on tv. awesome. I hope this does really well.

and that'd be great if we got to see Steel. I don't really care if we see him in the Superman movies, but I'd love for him to be introduced here. Would be awesome. He was one of the JLA recruits in Grant Morrison's run. Along with the already introduced Helena Bertinelli..

6.) GRODD LIVES
7.) Kord Building

That, supposedly, leaves three left. I imagine that graffiti on the wall opposite of Grodd's means something.

Exactly. Sometimes they're fan service and nothing more. Every little thing isn't going to grow into some spin off.

Maybe he's training? Reminds me back in high school gym class we'd run from one side of the basketball court to half court; touch the floor; run back to start; touch the floor ; run all the way to the end of the court; touch the floor; and then back. :funny:

Does anyone know where i can get physical posters for this show? I'd love to get that on my wall.

If this is the main poster leading up to the start of the series, I wonder if it'll end up being the DVD cover like Arrow's poster was.

What state does Central City exist in?

... I don't want to see any Flash family too soon. Impulse, XS, Wally, John Fox, etc.

I'd like to see some Milestone heroes- like Static.
