*cough* Note, he's cast as General Wade Eiling. That does *not* mean he is necessarily going to be turned into the Shaggy Man. Eiling was a recurring villain for *years* before that JLA story.

The producers and cast have hinted that GL will be showing up/that they want him to show up.

I saw a tweet that basically said that the producers hope that the Ferris Aircraft easter eggs will amount to a GL appearance some day soon.

And given that this universe is focusing on Hal Jordan's two best friends, Hal is THE MOST obvious superhero to introduce on this show. I'll be surprised if he's not introduced eventually.

Geoff Johns is trying to launch another CW spinoff based on a secret character, hopefully that will be revealed to be a Green Lantern series.

Green Lantern can be the next big scifi series. There's so much potential

Except not really. They recently said that all the easter eggs mean something, Ferris aircraft keeps showing up. and the creators said they hope the Ferris aircraft references amount to something some day.

I think GL will show up sooner or later. Might wait for Jensen Ackles to have time to be a special guest star though. I do think it's possible they are angling for a Green Lantern or Firestorm spinoff.
