I agree I think the writers at LoT don't have a clue what comics are about, half the time i think the show is a spoof of a superhero show. If they keep claiming the CGI budget is stopping them from using powers then GET RID OF THE DAMN SHIP!. They can use portal watches like Rip and his agents do. We watch to see the heroes not the damn goofy ship
Waverider is a set that only needs a few blinky lights and occasional voiceover from Gideon, that's why they got rid of Firestorm instead. Legends also got rid of the Hawks, turned Amaya/Nate from romantic to platonic, has the right balance of comedy and drama. IOW, Legends knows when to drop bad ideas and make necessary changes. Meanwhile Flash is shoving Iris and WA like it will save the show. The only thing they will save is money, nothing else. We watch to see the hero not the damn shoehorned ship, girlfriend or support staff.

Well that explains S2b-present. Hope she gets her justice. This messy show is only going to get messier. I do wonder why they wanted to fire her in the first place, or maybe that's the threat Kreisberg held over her.

Damn, I thought this was coming back on tonight. Not until the 16th. :(

"not as good or as popular as others on the almost network." That doesn't track. Flash is the biggest show on the CW, easily. Sounds more like Arrow to me.

Dude always seemed to not care for CW shows and kinda dismissive of them. So, I could see it as him just assuming how popular a show is in passing. Also, he's often been off in describing how popular a show/person is enough times in general.

Maybe the Olicity fans make him think Arrow is more popular. :sly:

Ok, so we're all agreement that Joe West is like the best dad ever? I LOVE how parenting has been such an important theme in this show. Barry has had so many great parents; Joe, his real dad, Jay Garrick, and Speed Force Mom. Despite both his parents being dead, Barry is a lucky son.

I love all the little extras the channel is making and giving us when there's an occasion. I love it. It's fun, they can play with silly concepts or elseworlds.
We had the training facility1 then 2, then this. This is really pretty cool.

And he married his father's daughter. :D

I know you're joking, but folks really need to stop with this. Barry knew Iris as a friend first. Barry was old enough to have a huge crush on Iris PRIOR to moving in with them. If anything, that wouldn't make him look at her like a brother, it would just intensify the crush because he'd be around her every day.

Sorry, that wasn't so much directed at you as it was people who complain about that plot point.

So is the CW the network for DC comic book heroes or for pre-teen girls?

Extended version
This has more supes but still only White Canary and Supergirl? This is some b.s. They were better off leaving the teaser as the official promo.

Pre-teen girls. Don't let the occasional superheroics fool you.

Kinda has me thinking if Arrow/Flash/Supergirl were on the WB in the late 90's, how would it have come across

Joe raised both Iris and Barry side by side since they were 11. Iris always thought of Barry as her brother and she called any relationship talk weird. Barry and Joe have called each other dad and son many times. These are facts.

She is the Lana Lang of the show, albeit the worst version.

Until she's sabotaged something to trick Barry into revealing his powers to her, she's not worse than Lana. And until she gets over the nuking of a town in a day, she's not worse than Felicity. Seeing someone as a brother, doesn't make them a brother.

There's less than a week to go. This break has seemed longer than the others, probably because this season has laid a better foundation than S3.

To me she is 10000000 times worse then lana. Have zero problem with lana in till like mid season 5 into 6 when she got with lex.

Is that due to poor writing or poor acting?

Other than Ralph Dibny, Barry's bachelor party, and a really well put-together part 1 of this year's crossover, you didn't miss anything.

Seen those except the bachelor party.
I thought the midseason finale would be worth jumping back in.
