Papa West with the pizza is killing me. Killing me!

Eh, let Barry make them feel included. They're all stuck in that lab.

Yeah, but it's hilariously ironic that he's talking to a group of (future?) metahumans and trying to include them in something they're going to be included in in a big way sooner or later.

So I finally had the chance to sit down and watch the show.

Love it. Absolutely freakin' love it. This is EXACTLY why the Flash is my favorite DC hero after Batman. The tone, the look, the costume, the characters, the way the story is built on and expanded, the easter eggs and references to what's about to come...it's the Flash. No tricks, no games, just straight-up Flash. You can really tell the writers know and love their Flash, and know where to draw their inspirations from.

Gustin is phenomenal, and really grew into the role between this and Arrow. All the characters are likeable and can't really think of anyone who's a weak link. Originally I thought they reskinned Arrow into a Flash version, but that's really not the case. I'm really intrigued by the mystery so early on, something a lot of shows try to do early on but don't succeed as well.

Hope it keeps up at this pace.

Im surprised CW hasnt already announced a full pick up, it wont be surprising but thought they would be jumping on this.

I'm sure after like episode 3 or 4 they will announce renewal. This is a huge hit for the CW. :)

Also, does anyone know when Tina Mcgee is showing up?

The second episode was a step up from the first, because of the family angle. I felt bad for Joe whenever his adoptive son disrespected him. The realism made those scenes awkward to watch (but I was glued). Their reconciliation at the end was heartwarming.

I actually had the same reaction for the opposite reason.I thought Joe was far too harsh on Barry these past two episodes.First episode when he's telling Barry "Your dad killed your mom, everyone knows it!" and then in the 2nd episode flashback "I'm the only one in the world who cares about you!" (seriously, isn't that going a bit too far to a traumatized 11 year old?) It doesn't help that Barry still seems so meek and fragile, even as an adult.

It seems to me Joe is a guy prone to extremes. He's either no bull-in your face or a "c'mon, gimme a man hug!"-teddy bear. That ending was very heartwarming,so I'm hoping from here on,he's more the latter.

You're right. He was overly harsh at times.

The only issue I'm having with the show is the flashbacks. The ones we got in episode 2 were fine and related to the plot well enough, I just hope they don't feel obligated to use flashbacks every episode because of the Arrow formula.

WOW. Poor Grant Gustin, just as his own show is beginning and receivibg wide critic acclaim DC goes ahead and casts ANOTHER Flash for a big screen movie in 2018. Sigh.....I guess we knew this was coming.

He doesn't deserve any sympathy.

I think :
1. Ezra will be the Wally West version.
2. CW is not a huge network, a lot of people (just meaning general public movie goers) won't even associate a film version of the Flash with CW version.

So what do you think they should do with Flash costume when Barry need to wear it. Should he wear it under his clothing or maybe it suck into a ring like in the JL animation series

I wonder, given the hints at time travel, is it a possibility that a decision we see Wells make in one episode not going the way he wanted means he could then go back and do it differently.

In other words, an extreme example, imagine an episode where Barry dies and Wells, assuming time travel works the way we see it work in movies and on tv, would have to go back and adjust until he lives.

Would that be too much? Would it annoy people?

So before DigificWriter comes in and categorically states he is NOT THE REVERSE FLASH, HE'S A COMPLETELY ORIGINAL CHARACTER, THE WRITERS HAVE STATED THIS......

Does anyone else think episode 2's ending was heavily pushing Harrison Wells as the Reverse Flash?! The whole "That man in the red mask is the Flash. Or at least, he will be." COME ON! Could it be anymore obvious? I actually shouted at my TV - "He's gotta be Reverse Flash. Got to be." Can I explain how/why Wells is pretending to need a wheelchair, or why he used a knife to kill Simon Stagg and hasn't displayed any super speed? Nope. But it's classic 'main hero character has mentor who teaches him everything then betrays him' storytelling!

If Well's is a comic book character (and despite DigificWriter's delusional outlook, producers/writers CAN lie if it suits them, any one of us should be well aware of that, considering it happens all the time) then my money is firmly on Zoom.

That's real mature, calling me delusional just because I choose not to be cynical and automatically assume that the producers are lying or being deliberately misleading.

Simple; he maxed out his reach into the negative speed force when he came back in time to kill Nora Allen. He pushed himself so hard to accomplish that feat that he has been powerless since and stuck in the present (relative to his future anyway). Which is when he adopted the Harrison Wells persona and plotted to ensure that Barry eventually becomes The Flash thus creating the speed force which would then lead to Wells/Eobard Thawne getting his powers back.

That's just me brainstorming as someone who has read Flash comic books for the last 24 years. I'm not even a professional writer but honestly a plausible scenario can't be difficult to conceptualize. Especially for professional writers; assuming of course that is indeed the direction that they plan on taking with Wells (which like you I also do think it is BTW).

That sounds perfect.

I think :
1. Ezra will be the Wally West version.
Where do people keep getting this nonsense?

Do you really think they'd
1. Spend so much time and effort re-establishing Barry Allen as the mainline Flash in the comics, animated movies, cartoon series, live action television series, toy lines, video games, etc
and
2. Cast a white dude to play a character they just re-imagined as black

There is absolutely no way The Flash is anyone but Barry in this new movie. No Jay, no Wally, no Bart.

Remember than in the New 52 neither Wally nor Bart has ever been the Flash, and Jay and Barry have never met.
