Lol, how are they going to explain that dude's costume? Did he lose his sense of style when the particle accelerator exploded?

Last night's episode was great. Pied Piper is probably my second favorite villain on the show so far... I loved how even though he was such a cocky prick he still (at least initially) was a good guy who wanted to keep a bunch of people from getting killed.

I don't really understand keeping him in the STAR Labs prison though. I mean, he's not superhuman, so they should have handed him over to the cops. I guess they're just keeping him there to cover their own asses, but it doesn't really feel right, ya know?

Anyway though, this was one of the best episodes yet and it's interesting to see them peel back some of the layers on the enigmatic Wells. Apparently he does have superspeed without the suit, however, he also was apparently paralyzed and I guess it comes and goes?

Since he lost his hearing when the accelerator blew up perhaps the crew wants to run some tests on him to see whether he acquired some latent superpowers.

He's a copycat mimicking the theatrical style of the original Trickster.

God, its so good to see Mark back as the Trickster. What with this and SW:TFA, this is an awesome year for Hamill fans.

I really hope that they at least allow Mark's Trickster to have a few good scenes with Barry's dad, as a homage to the previous Flash series.

Plus, it'd be nice to see Barry's dad actually interact with people other than his son, dead wife (via flashbacks), and Joe.

Interview with producer Andrew Kreisberg:

Why reveal that Wells is actually the Reverse Flash so soon?

Andrew Kreisberg: With Arrow, we learned not to jerk the audience around too much. Sometimes people withhold secrets at their peril. We felt like if we hadn’t revealed it then it wouldn’t have been a satisfying conclusion to those first nine episodes. The only debate we had amongst ourselves is how long will the audience accept knowing that he’s the villain while having the rest of our characters not know, which is something we’ve been dealing with for the back half of the season. Are people going to feel like they’re dumb for not realizing this? Part of what’s keeping this next stream of episodes going is how good at hiding his villainy Wells is and how strong Tom’s performance is, and having episodes like “The Sound and the Fury” where he really is being incredibly selfless, and yet part of you knows it’s all a show and it’s all fake, but just how effective it really is. Even more so than that, how much you want it to not be true.

Will Cisco (Carlos Valdes) really let Hartley go free in order to find Ronnie (Robbie Amell)?

Andrew Kreisberg: Hartley is actually in the next episode. His threat that Cisco might let him out very soon, the repercussions of that will play out in the next episode.

Can the Pied Piper be redeemed?

Andrew Kreisberg: Absolutely, which is why we went to great lengths that he doesn’t kill anybody. He tries to kill people, but there aren’t any actual deaths. We booked him for two episodes and we’re hopeful that he’ll come back. In the comics, he’s actually in a relationship with Singh (Patrick Sabongui), so hope springs eternal.

Piper didn't kill anyone because Barry saved those people! It doesn't change the fact that he try to murder them, which was unnecessary. With destroying property and his vendetta against Wells was more than enough. And the cops not arresting him was ******ed, is unbelievable how dumb this show can be sometimes, all they needed to do was leave the cops out of it.

They're doing a very mediocre job with Arrow this season, and I have the feeling that after the Reverse Flash arc is done, this show will suffer the same fate since the next big bad won't probably be as good, but we'll see.

On another note, I guess we shouldn't expect to see how Barry would react to the news of Oliver being dead since it seems like he's completely unaware about that incident.

Yeah I still say there's something messed up with the timelines. I think Flash took place a month after the events of the mid-season finale, but Arrow took place three days later. So it's very possible that by the time we saw Flash return, Oliver was already back in Starling.

The new Trickster has a punk, outsider art fashion style. Such a great adaptation.

They confirmed Henry and James would interact in jail when they announced Hamill's casting.

 have you not seen what the trickster looks like? Look at pics people have posted of the new 52 trickster plus when Mark played him. This adaption looks great combining those.

Loving the Trickster's outfit, probably my favorite of the show's costumes so far.

Trickster's domino mask is so awesome. Holy ****. It looks pefect.

The costume also looks cool. Not a big fan of the jacket, but hey, it still looks cool.

If they go with that for Grodd, I'll be happy...as long as he has a cape. (It's a talking gorilla, go the whole way with the silliness and give him the damn purple cape.)
