If they go with that for Grodd, I'll be happy...as long as he has a cape. (It's a talking gorilla, go the whole way with the silliness and give him the damn purple cape.)

also the crown

I'm a little confused at this point... I mean, it's really great that they're using actors from the old Flash show reprising the roles here, but that kind of thing usually means that there is some sort of continuity. Are they going for it or what?
If they go by comic book canon then Cisco ends up becoming a superhero not a villain.
I think it's just fan service, or them paying homage to the old show...but by no means, are they attempting to establish any continuity between the two shows.

(IRIS'S POV) The awkward moment when you realize that your future husband is probably boinking your nephew's future wife....
I think wells is future barry and the reverse flash is future eddie
If they do go to Flashpoint, I'd like to see some characters from this universe fill the roles from the book.
Perhaps the first thing Barry does is go to The Arrow for help, but it's Slade under the hood. After Slade was injected, Ivo killed Oliver, Sara, and Shado. When Slade woke up, he managed to kill Ivo and his men and make it back to civilization. To honor his lost friends, he gathered a fortune in the same way he did in the normal universe then took up protecting Oliver's city and Yao Fei's hood in honor of Shado. He'd be more of a brutal, loose-cannon version. That way Stephen Amell wouldn't need to take time off.
Ray Palmer could take Cyborg's place as the technological badass who has the world on his side and the government's backing.
Firestorm could take Superman's place as the super-powerful being who was captured by the government as soon as they arrived and is heavily sheltered and not in complete control of their powers.
As far the global conflict that dooms the Earth, not too sure in that regard yet.

I also speculated that if they did a Flashpoint arc that Slade would fulfill the role of CW!Flashpoint!Arrow. Good to know that other people think so.
However, somebody else did point out that it would be cool to see Flashpoint!Slade as a pirate like with the comics.
