Last night's episode was great. Pied Piper is probably my second favorite villain on the show so far... I loved how even though he was such a cocky prick he still (at least initially) was a good guy who wanted to keep a bunch of people from getting killed.
I don't really understand keeping him in the STAR Labs prison though. I mean, he's not superhuman, so they should have handed him over to the cops. I guess they're just keeping him there to cover their own asses, but it doesn't really feel right, ya know?
Anyway though, this was one of the best episodes yet and it's interesting to see them peel back some of the layers on the enigmatic Wells. Apparently he does have superspeed without the suit, however, he also was apparently paralyzed and I guess it comes and goes?
When in doubt, Tumblr

I'm glad that they are doing a legacy character on this show, Arrow should've done the same with some of their characters.

I expected the younger version to be like the one in the New 52.
Why reveal that Wells is actually the Reverse Flash so soon?
Andrew Kreisberg: With Arrow, we learned not to jerk the audience around too much. Sometimes people withhold secrets at their peril. We felt like if we hadnt revealed it then it wouldnt have been a satisfying conclusion to those first nine episodes. The only debate we had amongst ourselves is how long will the audience accept knowing that hes the villain while having the rest of our characters not know, which is something weve been dealing with for the back half of the season. Are people going to feel like theyre dumb for not realizing this? Part of whats keeping this next stream of episodes going is how good at hiding his villainy Wells is and how strong Toms performance is, and having episodes like The Sound and the Fury where he really is being incredibly selfless, and yet part of you knows its all a show and its all fake, but just how effective it really is. Even more so than that, how much you want it to not be true.
Will Cisco (Carlos Valdes) really let Hartley go free in order to find Ronnie (Robbie Amell)?
Andrew Kreisberg: Hartley is actually in the next episode. His threat that Cisco might let him out very soon, the repercussions of that will play out in the next episode.
Can the Pied Piper be redeemed?
Andrew Kreisberg: Absolutely, which is why we went to great lengths that he doesnt kill anybody. He tries to kill people, but there arent any actual deaths. We booked him for two episodes and were hopeful that hell come back. In the comics, hes actually in a relationship with Singh (Patrick Sabongui), so hope springs eternal.

Yeah I still say there's something messed up with the timelines. I think Flash took place a month after the events of the mid-season finale, but Arrow took place three days later. So it's very possible that by the time we saw Flash return, Oliver was already back in Starling. On another note, I guess we shouldn't expect to see how Barry would react to the news of Oliver being dead since it seems like he's completely unaware about that incident.
I really hope that they at least allow Mark's Trickster to have a few good scenes with Barry's dad, as a homage to the previous Flash series.
Lol, how are they going to explain that dude's costume? Did he lose his sense of style when the particle accelerator exploded?.
