The Flash The Flash General Discussion and Speculation Thread - Part 3

As a street level costume for Firestorm, it looks good, but I will wait for the hopefully full superhero costume.

That Firestorm costume is kind of depressing. Here's to hoping it's a one episode thing and then Ronnie gets something a bit less...Banana Republic.

Also, I posted this in the costume thread, but think it should go here too:
Here's The Flash in that new promo image for the Vixen animated series. Notice the slight changes in design to the suit. Could this be a preview of what we'll get at the end of Season 1/start of Season 2?

I'm hoping Ronnie's fancy bandolier isn't actually his "costume." I'm hoping its a necessary containment field/power limiter that he can wear to get his powers under control, and he just goes around wearing it for a while before becoming a full fledged "field agent" like Flash. So, it'd be a ubiquitous part of his design, and maybe that's his favorite jacket.

Well, we have to remember folks that certain costumes have definitely gone through "revisions" on Arrow, so it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for Ronnie's outfit to dramatically improve within time.

I mean look at how the "Deathstroke" look evolved on "Arrow"...

On another note, I'm actually very impressed with the materials that they used for the "Reverse Flash" outfit. If you make the sleeves a bit more formal fitting, then I'd want the exact same model used for Flash's next costume upgrade, but with it being red and the emblem being white of course. Heck, even that belt looks better on Reverse Flash, mainly because of how it doesn't look like it was made out of flimsy leather materials.

The fact that Reverse Flash has a black background on his logo, suggests that barry will get his white logo background eventually.

^ Why would they have to ignore Superman's existence just because Supergirl takes place in the Arrow/Flash universe. There's nothing about Superman existing that is precluded by what's been established in those series thus far.

Well, that's kinda what I'm wondering. Since The "Arrow-verse" is not connected to the DCCU, I just want to know exactly how they will deal with Superman's existence re : Supergirl.

Couldn't they just have Kara be the only Kryptonian to have arrived on Earth and ignore anything referencing Kal?
If they know Clark will never exist in this universe, there's no need to consider him here. Right?

Yeah, I really think none of the DC trinity will factor into the universe established by the CW shows.

Heck, I'm willing to bet that Nyssa is Ra's only daughter in the CW-DCU, with there being no Batman or Gotham City in existence.

Also, would anyone else think it'd be redundant to do a "siege of the City" angle on Central City at some point in the series like how Arrow had done with Slade and his army?

Oh they will probably cast a new guy as Clark and use him as a sweeps guest star. Don't think Cavill's going to be in this show.

I think the chances of any of the Trinity appearing are so low as to nearly be non-existent.
Sure you never really know even if they flat out say no because rules change down the road, but at best they'll keep it vague like that Wayne/Queen merger nod in the Flash pilot.
It opens up too many expectations even to do a cameo of say a reporter named Clark Kent or Bruce Wayne the public figure. Why tease that if you can't pay it off?

Chances are Supergirl will be the lone Kryptonian hero on Earth. Oliver will be the Batman. And Barry will just be Barry.

He's definitely getting the white background, as we've already seen it in the show with the newspaper from the future.

^ Why did you link to that article? All of the speculating they do is tainted and undermined by the fact that they inexplicably failed to make mention of the fact that Tom Cavanagh stated that there is only ONE Reverse Flash in the show (a detail that isn't absent, BTW, from the Entertainment Weekly article on the same subject).

^ I didn't mean to come across as attacking you for posting the article. I was just wondering why you chose that particular article to link to when, as noted, there are others that are more inclusive in terms of pertinent details and 'informed speculation'.

Why are you under the assumption that I've read every Flash article that has ever been written, ever?

I was on IGN, saw that article, read it, thought it was interesting, came here to post it. The end. If there's better articles, then post them.

Shame on you
