And PLEASE, don't tell me that episodes from now on are going to take the same format as Arrow, in that we have our main story on Earth-1, and the Arrow-flashback-type-storytelling thing with Earth-2 in spurts throughout. It was annoying in Arrow, and it will be annoying now if that happens.

In Season 3 of Fringe, they alternated episodes between the two universes.

I'm not saying they'll use the same story structure, but I would love at least one episode set on Earth 2. The world-building stuff really interests me and I love the World's Fair/Tomorrowland aesthetic they used in that brief glimpse of Jay Garrick's homeworld.

Well, at least with the reveal that the fashion of clothing in Jay's world is more retro/vintage like when compared to our modern day standards, I'm actually willing to give a pass on the costumes that we've seen so far for the villains that have/will come from that world.

That was what made season 3 of Fringe the show on TV that year. It's a great idea as far as I'm concerned, but I'm not sure the Flash's production team would risk it.

Barry, Iris, Cisco, Caitlyn, and Joe would need to have Earth-2 counterparts for that to work and even setting an episode like that up would be a logistical nightmare for the writing team especially if it involves spoilers/reveals for the season down the line.

I say they should go for it. 23 episodes? Give us a 3-4 episode mini-arc set in Earth-2.

I think Smasher for sure is dead. Other wise wouldn't they have pumped HIM for information on Zoom, or at least mention he's in a non responsive coma or something to explain that? Nah... That scene comes off as his dying breath. Which begs...Who is getting these interdimensional meta's corpses? Is team Flash acting like intelligent, SCIENCE based heroes and NOT allowing them to be given to just anyone? And where is the government in all this? While experimenting with meta's ala Eiling is shady, there is a legit reason to get the government involved with an interdimensional invasion or at least have them also investigating and not just leaving it all up to a rag tag band at STAR LABS.

So could they be anymore obvious with the Jay/Caitlin thing? Seriously, even Iris picked up on it very quickly.

Well, Fringe is my favorite TV series ever... I couldn't be happier with The Flash doing the Multiverse storyline.

It takes some getting used to, but I like the version of her costume they used. I'm not sure it looks better than what her classic costume good have looked like, but its not bad. I kind of like that her coat looks like a lab coat.

The costume is fine but the shoes are stupid because, of course, it has to be high heels. Though, she probably won't do a lot of running around.

That and those heroes which are being used as villain of the week are being wasted (killed). it's sad to see heroes that can be allies and the fact that they are league members used this way. all barry has to do is have way home for them with jay help since all they want to do is go back home. cause were likely not gonna see them again since their alternates are ether powerless or killed off in Barry's reality/time line . it's odder that Barry killing them be they true villain or other wise and the others of team flash are fine with it. it like season one & two small ville before the retcon in season 5.

they still have the meta human jail cell's til the meta human penitentiary is made and they really need to make that other thing for those that aren't planning to be villains. the plan was to seek them (meta humans ) out . (but to fight every single one of them and kill them? ) what if alot of them are like Ronny/stein and just need help controlling their powers or otherwise?

I think one thing that makes it hard for Barry to just get them back to their own world is that these people are out to kill him and he doesn't seem to have been presented with many alternatives in regard how to take care of them other than which have turned out lethal.
I don't really see that as a big deal, though, just because Barry may or may not have killed those two villains (and Sanddemon was a psycho who had it coming imo) doesn't make him to a less interesting character to me.

I like the JLA but their way of dealing with threats and enemies is redundant in many cases as they just seem to wait for trouble to come back and bite them in their ass again (and kill innocent people as well). I think Barry actually taking care of those who are dangerous and have the intent to hurt others is fine, whether it be in a lethal way or not.
I myself can't imagine Barry wanting to become some sort of Punisher, tho, so I guess they won't get so far with his character, anyway.

I like the Pipeline, I never had a real problem with it because I'm pretty sure it's just temporary and they will certainly come up with a better way to deal with meta humans. I hope Iron Hights is getting some kind of update and can hold metas one day, that would be pretty cool.
For those who are like Ronny and have powers but can't control them I would say it's completely fine to put them somewhere where they can't hurt others while they learn how to deal with these powers- and I think any decent person who is in this position probably doesn't want to mingle with people when there is a possibility that they can hurt or even kill them, anyway.

The frustrating thing about the Pipleline thing could be solved REALLY easily, just make it clear that the authorities know about it, have sanctioned it, and from time to time inspect it. Or mention court appearances, or lawyers, or something. The problem isn't the prison itself (well except for the sells seeming worse than ordinary prison cells). The problem is that it seems like this small group of private citizens (with the tacit support of one ordinary detective) are locking people up indefinitely without any kind of due process, and not telling anyone (including the proper authorities). THAT'S the real issue for me.

Just give them metahumans to the authorities. Build a metahuman prison in Iron Heights.

Problem solved.

According to the latest Episode that already happened. When Joe caught the guy who he thought was Sand Demon, he told him that Iron Heights can hold people like him now. So we have the Pipeline and an official Prison which both can hold Metahumans, and two Episodes in, we already have to dead Metahumans.

I'm starting to believe that there's more to the trend of Barry killing his supervillains in Season 2.

This might play into Zoom's overarching plot for this season. I mean why does he keep sending supervillains to kill Barry rather than getting his hands dirty? It's like he's testing Barry or pushing him towards a darker path.

So we're all in agreement that an alt-Barry is Zoom, right?

The unsanctioned aspect is a problem, no doubt, but I still think it's secondary to the logistics of actually having them there in the first place. If you or I were holding ONE person hostage, even just giving them one meal a day, there's still scads of stuff you have to think about. Add in more than one then also factor in powers and it becomes silly to think that our crew at STAR ever thought this was a workable solution. Barry has a day job, so does Joe. Are we to assume Caitlyn and Cisco, what, we're staying at STAR 24 hours a day ON TOP of what ever case of the week they were handling? There is a reason actual prisons are labor intensive and have giant staffs.

Call it a nitpick, but it was just silly to me that they had these villains at STAR. Hopefully they are done with that and use the holding cells sparingly this season.

Well we are watching a universe where Oliver Queen was able to operate as the Arrow between Season 2 and 3 despite being technically broke so I'm not surprised on how Team Flash are able to still operate Stars Labs.

See I can hand wave that away a bit just thinking that while Queen would be wiped out publicly, that he had some funds squirreled away to keep him in arrows and leather repair kits for his costume. :) Much like with Bruce getting back to Gotham n TDKRises. He's Batman, I think he had some resources that would be able to be tapped for emergencies. Barry on the other hand is working off a civil servant's salary. ;)

Lol, true. Maybe it would have been better if they had Team Flash teaming up with Dr. Tina McGee and the production team redecorating the Stars Labs set to look like something from Mercury Labs

After this episode Zoom looks more and more like the black flash to me. This Zoom is more a Black Flash than a RF from comics imo.

To me, Zoom seems to be playing out more like the Rival than anybody else. But I really doubt that he's Dr. Edward Clariss because that name means nothing to 99% of the show's audience. My initial suspicion was Earth 2 Harrison Wells, but now the show seems to want me to think that, so I dunno.

Re: Funding

I thought that Barry inherited STAR labs and all of Wells' wealth. Harrison Wells seemed to be extremely well off. He was still living in a mansion and operating STAR labs, albeit with reduced staff, after the particle accelerator explosion. And I suspect that he deliberately kept STAR labs with a small staff to provide Barry with the support network and "family" that he needed to become The Flash. I would guess that Barry is now a millionaire thanks to Harrison Wells.

Even if Wells didn't leave Barry millions, if Barry can renovate multiple business/houses in his down time, then surely he could turn his mind to some kind of profit making venture which relies on his powers?

As for Oliver, I agree that it was an issue. But, it seems that Oliver and Thea at the very least inherited Moira's jewellery and other personal effects. So, I'm guessing that they were pawning that stuff to pay for the Arrow operations and to cover the living expenses of Oliver, Diggle (although maybe he worked for free, etc. And I'm guessing that Thea now uses the millions she inherited from Malcolm Merlyn to keep everyone afloat.

Gee, the villains in the DC TV universe sure are generous with their money. I wonder if Lex Luthor will gift Kara with millions on Supergirl?

I hope Tina McGee comes back! I loved her character and what a blast from the past.
