‘The Flash’ Casts ‘Candyman’ Star as Iris’ Mom

She's usually pretty good in whatever role she takes on. I remember her most from her role as Keisha in New Jack City, an appearance as one of Theo's love interests on The Cosby Show, and especially her run as Maxine Chadway on the Showtime series Soul Food (hated her character on that series, though).

What surprises me though, if Wikipedia is correct, is that she's 52! All along, I thought she was in her mid 40s at the most!

It's always funny to me whenever people express surprise at the age of certain actors and actresses. I guess because I've grown up around people who've seemingly aged slower than others, it's pretty easy for me to buy how old these people are. Plus, Black don't crack. t:

-Summer Glau.
-Keanu Reeves.
-Sir Patrick Stewart (who's only recently kind of begun to show his age after looking pretty much the same for about 25 years or so).
-BD Wong.
-Ellen Page.
-Etc.

I want to know what health spa these people go to, because I want in.

I think for them it's mostly good health/diet and genetics since like I said, the people I've grown around look a lot than others their age. Too often people are shocked when they reveal their age or show how old their kids are.

I feel like only a complete idiot would put a first time director to do this huge of a movie. It feels like they are saying we don't really care if it's good or not. Am I way off base here or what? They should have had Ben Affleck direct it! LOL
