I had a feeling this was the case. Somebody here had brought up before that they never announced the casting for Dr Light. [BLACKOUT] I hope the producers don't get accused of racism especially in an episode after Caitlin's tirade towards Jax for lack of ambition.[/BLACKOUT]
that makes no sense seeing that the man she want was of the same race. that person will be way off bounds .

her wierd issue was that he didn't head to college but his only way in was through a foot ball scholarship (which would pay for it and get them in the first place) that was her bad sight of not understanding why he still didn't go. this more of nerd not understand the jock issue.

What if Earth 2 Wells knows Earth 1 Wells?......
Not likely but I do think he is trueDr. Well''s alternate. he one that didn't die that was killed by Eobard. <<That PART I'm ok with . and find this concept cool.

that is what is fun about the singularity. It opens up so many more story possibilities. It allows timelines to be tinkered with.

Well this slightly surprising that he's coming back so early to challenge team Flash! Looking forward to his return I'm going to guess he's more advance in intelligence .

Hmmm...I wonder how that fits with this:

DR. LIGHT COMES THROUGH THE BREACH — Barry (Grant Gustin) learns a new breacher, Dr. Light, has come through the portal and sets off to capture her. Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) tells Barry that Dr. Light was not a threat on Earth-2 and that Barry can reason with her.

[blackout]Is Zoom brainwashing the heroes from Earth-2 somehow? I thought it was going to be more typical "heroes meet and fight" kinda scenario but she seems like a straight-up villain here.[/blackout]

[BLACKOUT]perhaps Zoom has told them that Barry is the one that opened the portal and is a threat to their world, so Dr. Light goes after him and it takes a couple of showdows for Barry to convince her he's not the bad guy.[/BLACKOUT]

This explains the question I saw Danielle get the other day about getting a chance to do her best Faye Wray. :D I'm surprised to see Grodd showing up amidst the Earth 2 stuff.

Pretty cheap of them to reuse the same exact CGI Flash they used for the Gorilla Grodd episode from last season. When he's being choked by King Shark, it's the same exact CGI.

This is the best I could find of the Grodd episode, but you can see its close to, if not, identical.

Kinda lazy of them imo, still pretty neat for a one off. But not as exciting as others make it out to be.

Btw, Iris' mom is a Beeeeee-otch.
King Shark himself was really expensive according to the show-makers so that's completely understandable that they recycled CGI. I was too busy looking at the giant man/shark though to even notice. Lol

So with this whole earth 2 thing, do you guys think an AU Oliver Queen should ever be introduced?

I'm leaning towards no with one caveat. The only real appropriate place for it would be the crossover episodes, which I think have already been filmed or are at least being written now. If those are already locked in stone and they don't involve AU Oliver, I'd probably let it go. Although, do people think Earth 2 is only for this season or if it'll come back again in future seasons? I suppose there's always room in the future.

Would be a shame if they never did, It'd be fun to have an entire episode or two parter on Earth 2.

If they did show an Earth 2 Oliver I hope it would be a Crime Syndicate kinda version.

This week's episode was good, specially Joe's advices to Barry, and Jax's decision, and King Shark and the Wells thing. I loved Barry's narration at the end, learning the lesson from Jax's leap of faith and listening to Joe's advices.

But I just think this season has too much melodrama and cheap explanations for why some actors or actresses can or can't stick around. I could see the terminal disease plot for Iris' mother come from miles away. Is that any helpful? No, it's just some lame crybaby way to try and throw a pity party.

I hated the way Iris acted towards her mother also. What a jerk. Is that the message you wanna send to girls looking up to Iris? Not that I agree with a mother leaving her daughter, not at all.

Anyways, that, and Barry's dad's departure during his homecoming party right after his son freed him. Feels too obvious that the producers can't keep everyone on a payroll, and they got to find some cheap ass way to justify some unnecessarily heavy plot twists.

Overall, a weak start for the Flash.

Arrow and Agents of Shield, though, right up there !!

He was on Smallville back in the day. It's probably been brought up.

One thing that really bothered me in the first season that's carrying over to this season is Barry failing to use his powers well. I'm getting pretty tired of him running up to a bad guy, saying "I'm going to stop you now", and then the bad guy does something while he's talking or just watching and he gets away somehow. Similarly, villains who should get whipped in two seconds managing to fight Barry because he's not using his super speed. Seriously, just super speed up and punch them in the face, bad guy down. They need to start writing in threats that are actually threatening.

It popped up again as recently as last week's episode. At the end when Captain Cold's dad was holding the detonator to the bomb in his daughter's head (which had remarkable range), Barry waited until the bomb was disarmed before he told CC to go in. Just disarm him and knock him out before he can even see you move. Or, when you see him for the first time, knock him out and take the detonator away while you lock him up somewhere. It's getting a bit tiresome and frustrating to watch.

Hopefully Killer Shark and future villains will start posing more of a legitimate threat, or I may lose interest entirely.

I agree, the show has become pretty disappointing in this regard.

I think it was kind of to be expected, though, the powers Barry has make him pretty much invincible if he doesn't face off against just as powerful enemies, and the writers clearly intend to make the Flash not only about the Flash but focus a lot of their time and energy on the drama they can milk from the other characters. It's a pity that they keep turning Barry in an inept dummy along the way, though.

The first season of this show has crapped all over Iris for me but she did improve quite a lot in the last couple of episodes, and I can completely understand why she would react like this towards that woman, if I were in here shoes I would have probably done the same thing. Her mother did something really horrible, and Iris just reacts like you would expect someone in this situation to react. What I find a lot harder to believe is how she holds utterly no grudge against Joe for lying to her for this long, tho, especially considered her behaviour in the first season.

He spared her feeling like she wasn't good enough, for all these years. The lie in the first season was more annoying, because the reason they lied was to protect her. But since she constantly got into danger anyway, they should have just told her.

I recently found out i had an older brother. My mother had given him to friends for adoption when he was a baby. It took me all of two seconds to forgive my mother for not telling me as i could understand her reasons. Holding a grudge would just be childish and make the situation worse.
