I've seen some theory that Wally was added to the show as a "just in case" situation. That situation being that Warner Brothers decides to get a hair across their ass and tells the show that Barry is off-limits starting with the '17-'18 TV season. That getting Wally in now would give the viewers a season and a half to get to know Wally before they would make the switch at the end of next season.

Can't say I can complete rule that scenario out because we know how Warner Brothers is with their embargos.

I mean Arrow had been building Deadshot up for 3 years for this season as a connection to HIVE and clearly plans were changed including making Diggle's brother still be alive. Now I know Deadshot was just a recurring character but still they had been going on and on how both the separate tv and movie universes could work, yet then they killed a recurring character off because of the movies.

Hmm, that's a good point about Deadshot and Andy. I wonder if they retconned that arc simply because Deadshot was no longer alive to be that thread that connects them.

But I agree about Wally, part of me feels like we won't see him suit up for at least another year. Kinda like how Roy was introduced in season 1, but didn't join the team until Oliver was forced to reveal his identity the next season, and then didn't officially get a costume until the following year.

Yeah, that's total BS.

The pilot evidence of The Flash and a few other Season 1 episodes referenced an event similar to Crisis on Infinite Earths. Barry gave his life to save Earth, went "missing" and was assumed dead. In his absence, this is when Wally West made the jump from being Kid Flash to take on the actual mantle of The Flash in Barry's absence.

It's pretty clear that since day one, this TV series had plans to eventually tap into a similar "Crisis" storyline, which would have Barry dead/missing for several episodes (or even a full season), Wally West acting as The Flash, and then Barry making his return -- in a storyline similar to The Flash: Rebirth.

I seriously doubt the TV series would actually tackle this storyline any time within the next 2 seasons, but if/when they do, it will have nothing to do with the film franchise or WB/DC deciding to make Barry Allen "off limits" on TV for a period of time.

lol yet they can't reuse jail cell's with the meta human wing of iron heights from the pipeline and say it was sorta modeled after the pipe line in star labs to them selves . oh well at least they are making use of certain sets.

oh yeah this reminded me I saw an article here diggle is supposed to face off against king shark , wonder if that's still gonna happen?

Robbie Amell Drops Colossal Spoiler For His Return To THE FLASH

The CW recently confirmed that Robbie Amell would be returning to The Flash in a guest starring role as Ronnie Raymond's Earth-2 counterpart, Deathstorm. At a fan convention over the weekend, the younger Amell revealed a HUGE SPOILER about his return.


Despite the huge blizzard, the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in New Jersey this weekend continued as scheduled. In attendance was Robbie Amell who discussed his return to The Flash as the villainous Deathstorm of Earth-2. Spoilers follow. "In episode 13, so in a couple weeks, you'll see me as Deathstorm, and Caitlin as Killer Frost. So I get to come back, and I kill a series regular. So there's that, I'm probably going to get in trouble for saying that." Here's where things get tricky. With Barry Allen and the rest of Team Flash journeying to Earth-2 it's likely that they'll be running into their Earth-2 doppelgangers. Does Deathstorm actually kill a Prime-Earth or Earth-2 version of a series regular? Perhaps we'll receive a hint in the next all new episode of The Flash, Tuesday at 8/7c on The CW.

hmmm Maybe but they can say it's similar to starbucks ( hortons or doken donuts) having the same design in neighboring towns in the USA and canada and place's Mc donald's etc. some restaurants of the same chain have the same design.

But yeah I do see they have different coffee shop names. So your right Hero Lee they used the same building well they are both film in Vancouver

I just saw the trailer and if that is indeed for next week's episode, then it just seems like they're going to have a lot thrown into it.

Since the episode description and preview don't really hint at this, I almost wonder if there's a mix up and that's actually spoiling the episode in 2 weeks.

I don't understand the need for Barry to be a dick about his identity when he tells just about anyone else for no reason... idiot.

The actress was amazing as well. Best ~girlfriend released thing either Arrow/Flash has tried to pull off, let alone including Smallville.

I think the writers are trying to redeem themselves for Barry randomly taking off his cowl but it's a little too late for that.

Quick question guys. I just rewatched season 1 and I didn't realize at first that they made a comment saying Barry's fastest speed so far is only mach 2. Isn't that a little underwhelming? Mach 2 is only around 1500 MPH. How can he travel back in time with that speed when fighter jets and military weapons today are around mach 7. I thought he was at least mach 10 since people only see a blur when he runs.
