Let's be realistic. That's not going to happen. They arent going to sideline their lead for half a season.

I don't think they're going to "sideline" Barry, I just don't think we'll see him as The Flash for most of the season. They already setup Kid Flash, and now that Barry is in the Speedforce, I doubt that they'll only have 1-2 episodes with him trapped. I think next season will focus more on Kid Flash as the hero of Central City, who will probably battle non-speedsters, and we'll still see Barry's story weaving in and out. Then half way through, there will be some kind of redemption, and Barry gets out, and he'll join back up with the crew in STAR labs. I'm thinking they'll have Kid Flash being the speedster for a year or two, while Barry is still in the Speedforce.

Either way, I think Kid Flash will be more pivotal, and it's something I rather not see. Keiynan Lonsdale is a terrible actor. I wasn't that thrilled with how much he was in this season.

One of the things I do love about the DVTV universe is they aren't afraid to time travel and have alternate earths and so on . What I would love to see and this is strictly from a fanboy perspective so forgive me , Barry stay trapped in the Speed Force until at least mid season . Have Wally struggling to fill Barry's boots as the sole speedster and hero of Central City . Have a grown up Ginger Wally show up from an alternate earth and help Kid Flash until they manage to rescue Barry about mid season . The ginger Wally explains that on his earth he is Barry's nephew and was once Kid Flash as well until Barry sacrificed himself and he took over as The Flash . He teaches and shows Wally his potential and what he could become one day . Now this is strictly fan service and of course for me to finally see Ginger Wally in live action because I'm pretty sure it's not gonna happen elsewhere . DC finally brought him back in rebirth and I'd love to see him show up in the show . Scott Porter would still be ideal for the role I think

If anything they are going to jump a year instead of starting right where Barry left. That way Barry can break free in ep 1 or 2.

Yeah, though I suspect there will be at least some "in the Speedforce" stuff, too. I just hope that the way he gets out is done well, in a way that doesn't just undo his sacrifice. Thematically, it needs to sell the idea that Team Flash has *earned* bringing Barry back, and/or that Barry has *earned* undoing the trap and bring himself back. Or both, preferably.

Though, hey, here's a thought: they could steal a bit from Arrow. Flashbacks! His return/restoration is done in episode 1. . . and then *how* that happened is slowly revealed in flashbacks throughout the season.

Wasn't there a rumor that a Grant was leaving the show or something? Hope that is why they did this.

-Hopefully Caitlin gets to be more anti-heroish next season (given that comic book Caitlin is tat way and part of Batman's new JL team, it'd fit).


-Hopefully Iris gets a story that gives her some actual agency of her own (and not just at the very end as a desperate way to salvage things). Do more with the reporter thing, or make her a cop like her dad, or have her run for office, whatever just something.


-Hopefully Gypsy sticks around more and we get to see her and Cisco's dynamic develop.


-Hopefully we see more of Jesse and they stop they stop writing her in and out of the show at random.


-Hopefully the show isn't a depressing slog to get through next next season.

I hope they do make a "regular flash" suit for wally. It would be a really nice homage to decades worth of the books. Central City needs to have "The Flash".

It would be pretty sweet if they had a time skip of a few months. Having Wally holding things together. Which is tricky, having multiple shows running. They pretty much have to keep them in line for crossovers.

That's my theory. That he'll take up the mantle of Flash, and start wearing the red suit, or at least, a version of it.

I agree they are likely to try this or what variation of the younger black wally that's in the younger version of titans in the books that this wally and the others are mentoring currently.

it depends on the story teller and if it makes for a great story it's possible but with this series I'm inclined to agree. and I don't think these writers would be able to pull it off . sadly they aren't those kinds writers on this show and they aren't of that caliber.

CW shows in general are not able to actually write a show without a main star in it.
Supernatural has killed a brother off only to bring them back the 1st episode of the next season.
Arrow has only gone 1-2 episodes where Ollie is dead or lost.
Smallville in the past barely did it.

Probably, which would be a shame since a lot of the stories on this show could really have used some breathing room.

The problem is, Keiynan can't carry the show like Grant can. He still has a lot of growing and to do maybe they are going to use Season 4 as his way of getting his skills honed. They haven't done that much, so I could see them going that way.

This show didnt even do Flashpoint for more then 1 episode. Thinking they would do Speedforce jail longer then 2-3 episodes is...something. And they aint gonna keep him out of costume that long either.

that he tried to keep out of the hunter life that they left lucifer in his body after freeing sam which that youngest of helped and they haven't to bothered to get free that kid half brother of that torment lucifer and those demon's are doing to him.

So yeah there is one brother of the Winchester's they did that for longer then they ever should and the actor isn't in anything major. which is one of the reason I stopped watching super natural after that event and my younger sister say's she understands the reason. it's pretty bad she only see it on occasion now.

lol any ways ahem the cw writers are not of the caliber any way. it's something I've sen other writers of other series do and josh whedon may go there for bit him self among others. but cw's aren't of caliber other wise until they like turn their heroes into A hole's like the Winchester's

That brother was not a main character in the show. Yes a loop hole in a Winchester bro never stays dead line I said. I only watch it to see how it ends but the show has sucked since season 5 ended. [BLACKOUT]That season Sam falls into the Apocalypse hole[/BLACKOUT]5 mins later he pops up alive to end the season haha.
