I think Barry will get to the point he can make those small tornados with his arms. I just don't think he's fast enough yet. I did a quick google search and the speed of Helicopter's propeller is around supersonic. I don't have hard science on it, but I think you can move your legs much faster than your arms.

If he ever does that on this show I'll be several kinds of stoked.

Linda Park, as she's presented in this show, is like what a lot of my friends would define as the Perfect Girl for them.lol

The girl that makes the first move that easily gives their number to them, along with them only having to wait until the second date before things get "serious".lol

I would too and then Arrow has no shot without the Justice League or JSA. Whatever they are gonna call themselves when they have enough characters.

Another top notch episode. That's 2 for 2 tonight with AC. After a while of not doing it for me, the Firestorm character and subplot had some real dramatic heft tonight. And Joe & Cisco sneaking around was a good side plot as well and I'm liking the implications of where it seems to be going. And was that hot lady coming onto Joe? Bravo.

8.5/10 Up there with the best of the season.

Lol. I've actually met a young woman who reminds me alot of Linda so that's kinda spooky.:wow:.

Unless Wells' blood is on file in the current time, if he came from the future of course there wouldn't be a match for it. Not buying into 2 RF's yet.

So, that device spits them back up... but if Stein has no body, where does his half go?

I highly doubt Wells would want his actual blood to be on file since he's a speedster after all. The episode certainly revived the possibility of two RF's, but I'm still betting on Wells being the only one. I hope they save the second RF for a later season.

Curious, is Ronnie (Firestorm) capable of being injured by bullets when he's in his "flame mode"?

Or does any incoming bullets melt automatically before they can make contact with his body in the same manner that Electro was able to do in "TASM 2"?

Fantastic episode, I loved Joe and Cisco working together, it's always cool when they try out different character dynamics on shows, and this one played really with their investigation giving me a cool Ghostbusters vibe. :D

The Firestorm storyline is really interesting as well, can't wait to see how it plays out, but I just know that old coot saw his chance to get some sugar from Caitlin! :sus :oldrazz:

That revelation about Barry's blood at the end was great and they are still keeping us guessing on who the second speedster really was. :shr:

Since they may not use iconic versions of some of the JL because of the movies, they could use Flashpoint versions of the DCU characters for both Flash and Arrow even after the timeline is repaired. What if they adapt Convergence?

For Flashpoint, they could make Oliver run Green Arrow Industries or have his father be Green Arrow as a nod to Thomas Wayne Batman.

Well, like Firestorm, I was of two minds about this episode (sorry, had to do it. :woot: )

The A story involving Martin Stein/Ronnie was very solid and carried a lot of emotional punch. Not to mention it provided an interesting moral dilemna with the idea that team Flash may have had to kill two lives to save millions, especially since it would've also meant Caitlin losing her fiancee all over again. Furthermore, it added yet another layer to Wells in that he's willing to sacrifice his own goals in order to save Stein/Ronnie. Not to mention that the device Caitlin attaches to Ronnie/Stein before he goes nuclear resembles the Firestorm insignia from the comics.

Sadly, what's weak here is the Barry/Iris/Linda triangle. I just knew the moment Linda Park was introduced as Barry's new love interest, the show was going to set up a "Nice Guy's Revenge Fantasy" for Barry--in that after Iris doesn't reciprocate Barry's feeling after his declaration of love in "The Man in the Yellow Suit" and he moves on to date Linda, Iris would get all jealous and start thinking "Oh no! The perfect guy was in front of me all along and I let him get away. If only I had seen it sooner. I should never have moved in with my current boyfriend." Then again, I suppose this is par for the course for the CW. :oldrazz:

As for what Joe and Cisco uncovered about the blood samples, not only was the time travel angle expected given how the show is taking it's cues from Flash: Rebirth, but I'm surprised some folks haven't yet reached a much more simple conclusion:

Cisco states there are two different blood samples, each of them with two different blood types. One of them is unidentified, which belongs to the Reverse Flash, and the other belongs to an older Barry Allen. And he says that one of the blood samples is not Dr. Wells. Except we viewers already know that Wells comes from the future and is himself a speedster. Which means it's likely that he's also gone through great lengths to mask his own DNA. Why would he mask his DNA?

Because it's the same as Barry Allen's. Yep, I'm saying that blood sample confirming the blood belongs to Barry' is also Dr. Wells--because Wells is the future Barry Allen. Which means the real Reverse Flash is not only someone else, but I would say he's a future Eddie Thawne.

Very enjoyable episode.
I really like the Firestorm stuff and those effects.
Loved the crime scene investigation.
The Iris/Linda stuff doesn't bother me and I think some people are overstating Iris' motivations or actions.
Yes, she IS dwelling on hypotheticals after Barry professed his love and then started dating her co-worker, but I don't think that means she's suddenly pining or in love with him now. They're just... thoughts. When the camera hangs a bit on Iris watching from a distance it can be perceived as jealousy but unless we see it in action, we have no reason to think so just yet. Could be in a future episode, but nothing we've seen yet indicates anything but her being taken aback.
And she certainly didn't purposefully sabotage his chances with Linda. Linda decided on her own to call it. And even IF Barry needing time was what the issue was, she decided it wasn't worth it.

That being said, the only part of this whole Barry dating thing that will grate on me is him thinking he can "not let his work get in the way." It's weird that he thinks he can do that.

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention what I felt was a big moment .... Wells considers killing Ronnie, only to decide to slow his process towards strengthening his suit and attempt to save Ronnie. I initially thought he would do so because it affects the future, but Caitlin's strong demand may have been enough to convince him.

It makes me wonder if Wells is going to hurt his plan because a part of him is actually starting to care about the people around, and/or he is a big fan of the Flash from the future and sees this as a way of being a hero too.

I also felt like his speech in the car with Caitlin was him describing his own feeling. I don't think he's THE reverse Flash that killed Barry's mother, but he is a RF but he just wants to get back home to his timeline and he needs Barry to activate the Speed Force so he could go back.

"Flame On" :woot:

That's probably the most accurate Human Torch we'll see all year.:woot::woot:

Conway award.
I love mentioning writers and authors in these shows.

#TheReturn :awesome:

Seriously though, I thought the acronym came across as clunky, but I am looking forward to full-blown Firestorm. :woo:
My brother had the exact same thought.
But first he thought this name belongs to Radioactive Man.

No.

I started reading Firestorm when he first was introduced many..many years ago. In the comic version. It's Ronnie's "body" and Ronnie has (usually) has control of Firestorm. Also, in the comics. Prof.Stein can have conversations with Ronnie. Not the "I feel and see his memories". They seemed to have reversed it with Stein in control. I wonder if him going nuclear changes things. Since in the comics they can separate back into Ronnie & Stein.

I don't think Wells is future Barry. For one thing their eye color is different.

It's amazing that the writers have, unintentionally, created THREE other women who have more romantic chemistry than Iris (his "destined" love) and whom I buy him dating more than her. And it's even more extraordinary because they unintentionally did the same thing on Arrow as well.

.[/spoiler]

Yeah , I knew it was coming as well. That said though, the writers to be fair did give themselves a bit of leeway because she didn't really say anything about how she felt when Barry professed his feelings. Yes she moved in with Eddie and Barry talked her about being friends one day, but they clearly didn't totally shut the door. That told me they wanted to be able to keep the "jealous/ re -examining feelings trope" on hand for later use.

To be fair though, you can often take someone for granted who's been chasing you then suddenly feel weird when they move on, even if you're not interested, so that's not so unrealistic. Its just more annoying in the context of the show given that the writers have been heavy handed with the romance in general.

As they say,the best way to get someone to fall for you is to stop going after them. Then the "what's wrong with me?" mindset starts to seep in.
