really digging the FIRESTORM stuff!! but then i am bias and haved loved that guy since his introduction!! ^&*i want that guy to get his own spin off series! that acronym for his name like others have said is some Ridiculous dumb ^&* though, but i am willing to let that slide! :cwink:
Love the Joe/ Cisco stuff! Joe telling Cisco how he always asked people who were close to perpetrator and they always say "that wasn't the person i knew!" was right on tip!!
and " General Eling!" Man i hate that guy!! i hope Stormy gives that guy a new blowhole!! ^&*(( i hate him, but casting Clancy Brown as him was great!! oh and yeah
As they say,the best way to get someone to fall for you is to stop going after them. Then the "what's wrong with me?" mindset starts to seep in.
if you cant get her that's why you always go for her sister or friend!! then all of sudden they want you!! that was kinda messed up with Iris! Damn you got yours! let Barry get his! and that chick playing Linda is HOT!!

like always I love this show only i need more FIRESTORM!hehe

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention what I felt was a big moment .... Wells considers killing Ronnie, only to decide to slow his process towards strengthening his suit and attempt to save Ronnie. I initially thought he would do so because it affects the future, but Caitlin's strong demand may have been enough to convince him.

It makes me wonder if Wells is going to hurt his plan because a part of him is actually starting to care about the people around, and/or he is a big fan of the Flash from the future and sees this as a way of being a hero too.

I also felt like his speech in the car with Caitlin was him describing his own feeling. I don't think he's THE reverse Flash that killed Barry's mother, but he is a RF but he just wants to get back home to his timeline and he needs Barry to activate the Speed Force so he could go back.

This is what makes Wells so intriguing, you really can't be sure how good/evil he is and where his true motives lie.

"Flame On" :woot:

That's probably the most accurate Human Torch we'll see all year.:woot::woot:

:hehe:

It's amazing that the writers have, unintentionally, created THREE other women who have more romantic chemistry than Iris (his "destined" love) and whom I buy him dating more than her. And it's even more extraordinary because they unintentionally did the same thing on Arrow as well.

So true. :funny: Caitlin to Barry is pretty much what Felicity is to Ollie IMO.

Agreed.

With this episode it seems like they've found a way to write in the origins of the mirror dimension and by proxy a future Mirror Master.

There's a number of things involved in the recent Iris/Barry/Linda storyline:
Barry told Iris how he felt after she was in a relationship with Eddie and moving in with him. She herself never really showed feelings for him before that because for all we know she assumed it was ridiculous because they're like family.
-Barry's turn around into dating was relatively quick. Hence her surprise. Why wouldn't she be at first? She's a human who is close to this person.
-Now Barry's dating Linda. Nothing wrong with that. We don't really expect it to last in the long run just as we don't expect Barry and Iris to get together this early. Things play out. But again, her reactions have been quite normal. Her unintentional hindering of Barry and Linda was purely based on Linda hearing that Barry was recently infatuated with someone and that person not feeling the same way. And she should "give him time" Her words. That doesn't mean stop seeing him. It means take your time to me. Linda didn't see it that way and thinking it wasn't worth her time, called it off.
-Barry gets angry at Iris for supposedly ruining his chances...despite what she said being ultimately harmless...and as the viewers we're led to agree as he's the hero and she doesn't really defend herself much.
-Instead of them allowing Iris to speak to Linda and reassure her of Barry, we get a scene of Barry fixing it with the pepper while Iris looks on "wistfully".

Objectively speaking they should've either not had Iris "be the cause" of their initial ending of things which I think is flimsy to argue personally, or at least allowed her the rescue by speaking to Linda. This would fix things in Barry's eyes, allowed Barry to keep dating Linda and shown that Iris cares enough about his happiness for their future romance.

But again, I find the faulting of Iris here and the previous episode for some overt jealousy and selfishness to be pretty much garbage. I'm clearly in the minority though.
But whatcha gonna do. I also never had a problem with Laurel so...*shrug*

Linda Park, as she's presented in this show, is like what a lot of my friends would define as the Perfect Girl for them.lol

The girl that makes the first move that easily gives their number to them, along with them only having to wait until the second date before things get "serious".lol

She is what "Amazing" Amy Dunne would refer to as "the cool girl."

Barry had better watch out... :cwink:

I hope that Linda Park isn't reduced to being "Barry's rebound girl" and then dumped off of the show. That'd just be really bleh.

and that chick playing Linda is HOT!!

I didn't expect her to be so thick but she was packing heat.

Come a long way from Nickelodeon. You didn't see her in Social Network? The bathroom stall scene? :o

nope i havent. my viewing moments have been filled with all this superhero ^& all on TV and at the movies!( &^* when Netflicks start all their MARVEL stuff it's going to be even less time.) but if chick is in that social network flick i might have to! she's banging!

Iris killed Barry's mom so that he would come live with her! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I don't think Wells has evil intentions per se, but I do think he's trying to prevent something and is going about it in a very anti-hero fashion.

Solid episode. Not one of their best. The whole thing about the "photos" was cool and interesting, the Firestorm stuff was great, and I enjoyed the romance bits between Barry and Linda.

I don't think Iris said anything particularly damning and I don't think that her reaction to seeing Barry dating another woman is unwarranted. I just don't want to waste time on an "Iris is jealous of Barry's new girlfriend!" storyline. Focus on Iris as a reporter. Give her relationship with Eddie more focus. Show that Barry opening up to her has actually brought the two of them even closer together. Do anything but write her as the jealous ex-girlfriend.

QFT

I don't usually participate in shipping debates because all I'm really watching these for are ass kickings, decent stories, and superpowered feats.

I'd say this episode, the Pied Piper episode and the mid-season finale' with the RF are this season's cream of the crop so far.

She's a Batman girl! :hrt:

He does seem to be of the idea of the end justifies the means.

What if he's planning to dress as RF and confront him as try to convince him he's a future version of himself a s away of backing off.

Wait... Who's the 3rd? Caitlin, Linda, and...?

Wait... Who's the 3rd? Caitlin, Linda, and...?

I'm assuming that the third is Felicity.

Though it's kind of funny to now think that even Barry has a more "innocent' background than Felicity when it comes to his dating life.lol

I actually agree with your analysis. I felt Iris's reaction was very realistic. If anything I was a bit surprised that Linda seemed to go from the " Lets have fun " type to suddenly acting like things were getting serious after only two dates. I don't think Iris is selfish, but I think the writers have handled Iris so badly up to this point that going forward people aren't gonna like her no matter what ends up happening.

I think at this point people are sick of the Barry/Iris stuff because its been heavy handed and poorly executed. To keep going with it even as he's starting something with Linda, sort of gets on people's nerves more then it otherwise would have if the writers had handled it the right way.
