In the flashback Iris got shocked by Barry while he was comatose. She got the same type of shock from the Flash. That it was the static that helped her figure it out is a little iffy, but it's a comic book show so I can let that slide.

It makes sense if no other people gave her that type of shock before

Mostly great episode, except for the fire thing as the writers should let Barry use his head.

Love that Barry, Cisco and Caitlin finally discovered Dr. Wells is the Reserve Flash. Cisco geeking out was kind of funny especially him dropping another Back to the Future reference. I really do hope they update Barry's costume because the future version looks so much better. Surprised to learn that Barry created Gideon in the future and I thought it was cool Gideon nearly name dropped the Justice League. I'm hoping that Cisco remembering the alternate timeline has something to do with his powers from the comics. Interesting use of The Flash's powers during the fire rescue scene. Tom Cavanagh gives a great performance in this episode super creepy. Wasn't expecting him use Hannibal Bates like that but nice call back to last week. Iris finally knows Barry is The Flash. I'm really excited about Grodd next week.

I enjoyed Barry and his friends discovering the whole truth about Dr Wells/ Eobard Thawne. Since Iris knows, it is going to change the love triangle.

What did Barry/The Flash due to Eobard that results in Reverse Flash seeking a "reckoning"?

Good, we got all this **** out the way. Now the show can focus.

This was a pretty great episode even though I thought the reveal to Iris was lame.

The whole Iris thing is lame. It's still lame. And I found the reveal for Iris/Barry to be horrible...mainly because now I'm worried that the show is going to dance around it for forever, or just cram them together even if they don't go well together...and since I already dislike WestAllen, I feel like it'll be excruciating.

That seemed more than just a simple static shock. Plus, even if she didn't guess it was him right away, she's bound to put the dots together now.

Anyway, this was a great episode. Cavanagh was so creepy switching between kindly Wells and the psycho Eobard Thawne.

Well, I have no problem with them being together at some point in the future. It's just obvious that it wouldn't be right now. People grow/change, things happen, and whatnot.

What I didn't like was that they show us that shock that hasn't happened before and use that as the reason she figure's Barry is the Flash. I'm not even sure if he even disguised his voice this time (just like he didn't in the Trickster episode).

Did anyone else laugh at the reveal of Gideon being created by Barry? It's like there's nothing original about RF. Always riding Barry's dick.

No, they are terrible. They have all the romantic interest as a pile of sawdust. I don't even know what they have in common. I'm not given a reason in this show for them to be an item, except that it's comic book canon pre-New52.

He disguised his voice, and he was vibrating to keep her from seeing his face. The shock was a convenient plot device, nothing more. Blech.

I stopped watching CSI:NY because of Danny Messer. I dropped White Collar because of Sara. I have no qualms about divorcing this show too if the romance gets too dumb or if Iris continues to be obnoxious.

Well, I'm not sure about that. For the most part, it's pretty one-sided and mostly from Barry's point of view. Rarely do we truly get a feel for where Iris is coming from in all this except for minor moments or when other people outright way she cares for Barry beyond simply friendship. Even so, like I said before, relationships change. A lot can happen in 10 years that would lead to her marrying him (though we don't know what it takes place).

Was it? Maybe it just didn't sound disguised enough to me. I'll watch it again later.

I don't find Iris obnoxious.

Incredible episode. I had a few moments that had me on edge:

-When Gideon revealed that Barry created Gideon.
-When Iris found out Barry was Flash.
-When Thawne used everyman to fool them, then revealed everything that's happened in time to Barry.
-When Thawne revealed himself to Eddie.

What do you guys think Thawne meant when he told Eddie that he's his insurance? Is he gonna turn into Eddie? If not then maybe he's gonna reveal Eddie's evil future to him?

I want to know what exactly Barry did that has made Thawne so determined to kill him. I'm still confused about the end game, but maybe not as much right now. He wants to kill Flash...but I don't know that he wants to kill this younger version of the Flash. Not now that he's gotten to know him. But he has no qualms about killing the older Flash. I want to know!

It was shown he had a camera in Barry's lab in earlier episodes. I forgot about it, nothing was hidden from Wells. Awesome episode, things are kicking off.

The Hanibal Bates scene had so many flaws in it. He was talking to Cisco as if he knows everything about Wells (killing Nora, being dead for centuries, etc). Plus, how did he get into the force field when even Barry couldn't? lol. Its incredible how so many things have been revealed so far, but u can still feel there is more coming. I really cant wait for the finale, and how Wells/RF story will end.

Btw, can we really trust that Barry created Gideon? I thought it was a just to fool them into thinking they are ahead of Wells, and also, Barry might be a scientist but to create something like Gideon I would think needs the expertise of ppl like Cisco. I mean, when was the last time Barry created anything other than running some experiments in his lab, its Cisco and sometimes Caitlyn who do all the work in Star labs.

Also Eobard was spying on everyone and he knew everything they has said about him from day one. He is such a clever, evil matermind. I mean ya' gotta love the guy for being so clever. (love to hate) The next three episodes are gonna be so good.

I liked the episode but felt like a tease of the action to come in the upcoming episode. The dramatic tension was definitely ramped up this episode and poor Eddie finding out about his legacy the way he did. What kind of insurance policy is he by the way?

If only Arrow could be this good.

It's crazy how convoluted the writing has gotten on Arrow...

The Flash is so on point, never faulting outside of the CW warranted romance stuff, which isn't a matter because 98% of the awesome outweighs that little but.

When the few great things on Arrow get bogged down with stupid Olicity stuff, messy plots, and twists/turns that make no sense.
