I enjoyed this episode much more than the first.
I really liked the characterisation of Jay Garrick and Patty Spivot. Both actors seemed to share a similar genial charisma which works well with the existing cast.
I thought that Caitlin crushing on Jay was a little odd. Understandable, but still odd given that in the last episode it was shown that she had deliberately isolated herself after Ronnie's death. Now, she's suddenly giving inspiring speeches about moving on and new opportunities. I guess that she's technically mourned Ronnie's death for some time (since he's "died" twice), but it still seemed a little rushed for me.
I do hope that Iris actively demonstrates her journalistic or other skills in the team soon. Sure, she serves the role of Barry's "best friend" pretty well, but Joe pretty much has that role covered. It would be good to see Iris actively investigating the metahuman/threat of the week, etc. Or possibly trying to educate the public about metahumans, both good and bad, through her published articles.
I'm a little unsure about Cisco's powers. So, they're tied to parallel worlds and alternate timelines? He seems to be able to view alternate timelines and events in his world/timeline related to people who have crossed over from Earth 2 (Atom Smasher and Sand Demon, although strangely, not Jay Garrick seemed to inspire visions).
And I'm still a little unsure about Zoom. So, he's a big, BIG bad. But, he couldn't kill Jay Garrick after two years of trying? And he wants to be the only Speedster, but only recently even learned about the existence of parallel worlds? And even though he's a huge threat and a mass-murderer, Earth 2 Central City seemed to be almost Utopian in the brief glimpse that we had with the alternate Harrison Wells. Not to mention the fact that he keeps sending baddies to Earth 1 to kill Barry, yet can't be bothered to do the job himself? And I'm still confused why the baddies, so far, are so keen to get back to their world. Wouldn't they be happy just running amok and causing trouble on Earth 1?
I was also a little unclear on what Jay has been doing for six months. How did he follow The Flash? If Team Flash have been separated for the past six months, how did he piece everything together to know their identities, their base of operations, etc. Is it because Cisco, Caitlin, Martin, etc were part of his own Team Flash on Earth 2? Without the speed force, surely he shouldn't have been capable of following Barry to STAR labs, etc? Not to mention the fact that he presumably was earning a living somehow, so had to do all of his investigating in his off hours.
Finally, I'm not so sure about Team Flash, particularly Barry, suddenly being okay with killing their metahuman opponents, even if it is in self-defence. Sure, Sand Demon could be okay and *may* be locked up either in STAR labs or the new metahuman prison. But, they seemed to kill off Atom Smasher with a pitiful "I'm sorry" from Barry. It's just strikes me as a little odd.
Anyway, there may be a few quibbles, but I only have quibbles because I'm once again engaged with the characters and the story.
