Was dr. Light supposed to be a male not a female? In the teen titans cartoon dr. Light was a male.
I also think zoom is a bad ass.
in the comic's there 2 doctor lights the Asian female (with her own name cause she wasn't linda park)which is a hero with the Justice League called Kimiyo Hoshi and the male villain one called Aurthor that fought heroes and was a Titan's foe and wasn't anything major to ether the League or the Titan's, til he raped a woman prior to the new 52.

good episode loved that color should thank you for wearing it line! and oh that was smooth!( which it was! haha) and freaking love how about "Vibe" and Cisco starts smiling with yeah! i like it! this show has made has me vibeophile! Haha Cisco has turned out to be one of my favs! now dude needs is those shades, a costume and to start breakdancing!:cwink:

Only when he start's "shaking things up" will the break dancing be it's most effective haha

Now this is starting to get really sweet. A few things I loved about it.

Wells is back, albeit a no nonsense one. Reminds me of "The Wish" episode in Buffy Season 3. Tom is all levels of awesome. He sells the character spot on. Such a great actor.

Barry and Patty's (and Cisco's) date was hilarious. Patty looked super hot, Barry seemed really into her. For once it didn't feel or seem forced. The characters had great chemistry.

Having Linda's doppelganger be Dr. Light was cool, seeing Linda in more than 2 scenes was better than the last time, at least she's seems like more of a real character in the show now. Still don't buy Iris being her friend. I know Barry didn't cry over their breakup but Iris did a real shady thing to both of them. It seems like the writers want us to forget about it because she's Wally's girl. But still, Iris and Barry just don't seem right for each other. Seeing Iris around Linda now reminds me of that. She didn't even get the least bit jealous (nor is she grieving over Eddie) when Barry told her he had a date with Patty. More unnecessary drama to come. She'll find some way to wreck him and Patty together. smh

The West family drama is a really boring story line, glad it was wrapped up. Not to mention the permanent anger Iris has for her mother (who came back and wanted a second chance) was really messed up. Even Joe felt sorry for her, Iris isn't even a human. She became too angry at her mother, who at least told her the truth, but not at all pissed off her father has been lying to her. Yeah that makes sense writers, thanks. Just like how she wasted air time by throwing a tantrum when she found out Barry's identity. This character is such a waste of space.

Jay and Wells both seem suspicious, but Jay checking out early seems even more suspicious. Caitlin's foreshadowing was great, least we know it's Earth 2, not a transition. Makes more sense.

Great episode, can't wait for more Zoom.

Oh my god, this portrayal of Wells is so hilarious, all that growly voice and the badass attitude, where did the Wells from the season one flashback go? XD

And he is an total tool, who would have thought... I really wish they would not have made him into a Wells/Eobard 2.0 version just because the viewers liked evil Wells from the first season so much. Now he's like such a parody of the one in season one... XD

Also, nicely delivered exposition from Cisco and Caitlin the moment he entered S.T.A.R. labs so that viewers who didn't watch season one know what's going on. Just wish they have been a itty bit more subtle with it?

Iris was really nice in this one, though. And she actually did something badass we could watch as an audience and didn't have to rely on exposition to be delivered to us - I really like how she is shaping up now.

Patty is my new fav female character, she is like this the female version of this dork version of Barry and they fit just so nicely together.

And, who would have thought, Barry is behaving like a idiot again. What a surprise! X)
I mean, why the hell is he so stupid? Why would he listen to Wells over Jay in regard of facing Zoom? Not the first time his 'not thinking **** through or thinking at all' got him in trouble, is he really too stupid to learn from his mistakes? And why does he listen to Wells in the first place? How gullible is this man? Not to mention that this Wells has written 'don't trust me' all over himself? He really needs his ********-meter to be checked.

God, poor Barry, he seems unable to either use his own brain, use his powers in a consistent and usable way, or even think things through...

And I actually warm up to the idea of Zoom being an alternate version of Barry. It does seem to make more and more sense... and it would fit the writing.

All in all a fun episode, I also liked the villain, no matter how cliche this villain of the week thing is getting by now. Just wish Wells was less of such a joke and that I could sympathize a bit more with him. Out of ten, I give it a eight.

well that dr. well of earth 1 season 1 was killed and eobard was pretending to be him and the real dr. well's didn't have the chance to have a kid and want to save her. this growly version we're seeing is a father that want his child back. he's protective father. he's ready to throw down with zoom.

He is a dick, you don't have to turn into this just because you want to save your child. He is like this because viewers liked the baddy Wells from season one. He is pretty unlikable, and I think there has probably played much more into Wells becoming this version than having a kid - he comes from Earth 2, after all, so he did probably have a pretty different life from Wells we've seen in the flashbacks in season one. I'm hoping we will learn a bit more about his background when he season progresses.

And what the heck is with his growly voice? It's hilarious but it totally remembers me of Batman. X)

him being a dick is about him being like seheldon from the big bang theory and other certain types of nerd sadly.

Even Walter from the show scorpion on CBS unless his buddies tell him to be nicer he seem's to act like a dick . sadly it's about being socially award and not knowing how to talk to people at all. the writer push certain people like Walter and well's this and the look like pricks even when their not trying there even an anime Aldnoah Zero

where one of the main pro tag's is like this and it's really bad. he made an unnecessary and uneeded enemy cause of it.

it's a common nerd trope. the growly part is about him and his kid he want's these other kids at star labs to move and he's on a dead line of his own .

lol please tell me your joking? we've know this since Barry captured reverse flash due to both fire storm and Oliver as the arrow helped him capture Eobard and Cisco confronted him before last season's final episode. don't be surprised about Catelyn ether. it'll show up with her later and make her mentally unstable(make seem evil) for a bit too. well if we don't see an alternate reality version of her that is.

I don't think it's because Wells is supposed to be a nerd, maybe the one on Earth one was, but this one is really smooth in handling his audience aka other people by what we've see in the couple of Flashbacks. The reason he is like that is because Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne of season one, at least it is my guess, and I agree, it was utterly unneeded to turn him into another 'enemy/jackass' character, they could have gone in so many other directions with him.

The only audience you should worry about is us those who view him on the screen. Him giving a speech is like what was done inthe steve jobs movies that came out recently and look how he was with people in person at times. when he's(earth 2 wells ) with people in person he's a whole different animal. this is what I'm telling you. he doesn't know how to handle people and we don't how much of that speech was written by him truly himself on earth 2 star labs .

I think he is not meant to come over as someone who doesn't 'know' how to handle people - I'm pretty sure it will turn out that he is very good in how to handle people when the season progresses, at least in form of manipulation. This Wells doesn't seem like a misunderstood nerd to me, not at all. He seems more like a very calculating fellow whose plans blew up into his face, and he tries to do damage control.

Doesn't mean that he doesn't have a problem with understanding people and connecting to them but I doubt this is because of the usual nerd trope.

Also, the audience watching Wells will very much be influenced in how they comprehend him, categorize him, by how he acts on the screen, thus, if he comes over like a smoothe bastard who is able to keep a crowd in awe of him, it makes it hard to believe that he is supposed to be some kind of shy nerd who is just behaving like a total twerp because he can't help it.

Iris just can't win with you people. She gets jealous it's because she's a [censored]. She's supportive of Barry dating, "what the hell she didn't even get jealous!!" She gets emotional for something, "man, that was unnecessarily melodramatic". She doesn't get emotional, "the writers are blazah blazah blah".

It's beginning to grate because it's coming from the same people. All I know is that Candice was mighty fyne with a y this episode and that her actually being supportive of Barry was really cool. That's what best friends are supposed to do. Be supportive.

I understand what you mean but I also get why people are still not satisfied with how Iris is portrayed at the show.

She did improve in leaps since the beginning of season two and I've really started to like her again on the show, which I would not have thought possible towards the end of last season, but the problem is the inconsistency of her character, the sudden changes to how she has been portrayed for a whole season. Now, all of a sudden, we are just expected to simply accept that she made a 180 in many of her character traits without any obvious explanation.

I get the writer and I'm glad they did improver her and make her much more likable but I think they should have done so more gradually, maybe over a character arc than out of the blue like they have done here.

And I think it was amazing of her to encourage Barry to go out with Patty, much better than the backstabbing thing she did with Linda in the first season, so I guess most people are just not able to just accept her sudden change just yet.

I agree with you, she should be supportive and she finally is.

So Linda from Earth-2 is Doctor Light, interesting.
DL is an Asian woman from the East, and Linda enrolled in Med. school.
A very interesting mix.

They basically foreshadowed Barry being Zoom.

1. Jay admits he couldn't defeat Zoom because Zoom was stronger and faster

2. Later, when giving Barry a pep talk, he tells Barry he is faster and stronger than Jay and can create speed reflections

With the speed it took Flash to create all those mirages, he could have hit Light a Million times. Sigh... why don't they use Metas that could give Flash an actual challenge? No, instead they have to make Flash look completely incompetent in every single encounter.

And what was that with the whole Earth-2 Linda trying to kill Earth-1 Linda? Was she really just going to kill her, so she could assume her identity and hide from Zoom? At first I thought they'd go with the, 2 people from different universes can't inhabit the same space and time explanation, but that didn't seem to be it.

Great episode and some good character moments like cicso helping barry on his date and other interactions as well. Just have to say on a side note the actress playing patty is so sexy and hot in a classy way.

no it's earth 2 doctor well daughter which proves this is the counterb part of the vdoctor well that died in barry's reality. remember Eobard killed both the real doctor well's and his wife. While barry was a child and stole dr. well's face after killing barry mom.

So he had no children and didn't hear or see him talk about in this reality barry's living in so.... He's the real Dr. well's counter part(from earth 2) and not reverse flash counter part.

Dude I watched season 1 in real time. I already know all this and it's irrelevant because it's not what I asked. I asked about the girl because the producer of the show teased that we would see early Jesse Quick in this episode. Well lo and behold the actress playing Earth 2 Wells' seed was indeed the same one cast as Jesse. So in this universe Jesse Quick is the daughter of a Harrison Wells and Johnny Quick doesn't even exist.

That was my take on it. but seemed sort of odd.. with witnesses and all.

She said killing the guy was an "accident" so if that was not meant was she just going to kill Linda-1 and leave two (or more) witnesses and then .. "oh hey.. I am not really dead" the next day ?

Sometimes the writing is pretty bad. As you say, the flash can run so fast that Light would not even see him coming before he hit her.

Anyone else annoyed with the fact that Team Flash keeps comparing Harrison Wells to the man that killed Barry's mother? He didn't kill her, it was Eobard Thawne...

Harrison Wells had nothing to do with her death.

Good thing for you that it wasn't the character then.

For all intents and purposes it was a new Dr. Light. Just like we got a new Firestorm on this show that isn't Ronnie or Jason last week.
If you're not gonna do the character right then don't do the character.

God bless you! God bless your family and everyone else in your life!

She didn't backstab Barry with Linda.
I agree with you, she should be supportive and she finally is.
Why should she be supportive to Barry? That's not her job.

God bless you! God bless your family and everyone else in your life!
