The Gaming Lounge: Beyond - Part 3

The only time timed exclusive content matters to me is if it's a game I really care about. I don't mind waiting a month for good content. It gives me an excuse to come back to the title down the road after I finish a few other games. GTA4 proved there's a time limit though. I still haven't bought the DLC despite still occasionally popping in GTA4. It was too far apart, and I lost interest.

Not to mention sometimes timed content can be a blessing it the update is buggy. gives them time to work out game breaking kinks. Like said above though, full game exclusives are what I care about. I'll take a (just an example) 20-30 hour Naughty Dog exclusive masterpiece over a one month headstart on a $10 gun and map pack for a COD game anyday...Then again I stopped caring for COD 2 years ago, so not a fair comparison, lol.

I thought the individual game threads would be busier now that we're seeing a lot of great stuff. :csad:

I'm about to start going through my backlog and I'm thinking about starting with Enslaved (still in plastic lol). What did you guys/girls think of the game?

I got bored of it after awhile. It wasn't bad, just not really engaging. I also encountered some audio bugs (have it for PS3).

Mine is also still in plastic. Probably a long time before I get to it.

Is there still an active online community for War for Cybertron?

haha, yeah that's on my list to. Bought it years ago. I did play like a hour or two of it when I first got it and it was pretty fun, the visuals are also quite lovely.

There was about 6 months or so ago. I haven't played it since so it might have died off since then. There's certainly a hardcore who play it a lot but I think that community is quite small.

Its good for a platinum although the orbs can be annoying. I have to say the final game is much better than that awful demo they released

It was all right. I played through it once and then forgot about it.

I'm excited for that movie. The mash up of some many different characters reminds me of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"

I remember my bro loving Who Framed Roger Rabbit? in his childhood and his nostalgia for it now, I was never a fan, don't think this Ralph movie is something I should watch

Any of you guys getting Lego Batman 2? I was done with Lego games until they added voice acting and other gameplay improvements... Adding voice acting and making it "open world" is pretty much what I was asking, haha.

Voice acting is cool, but I don't know if open world was needed. I guess the success of Arkham City got to them.

I'm not buying, but I am definitely renting, at least for now. I like the LEGO games because they're easy for trophies and I usually have fun playing them based on franchises that I like. But the improvements that I've seen in the gameplay demos get me really excited, and its cool to see that they're developing another original open world LEGO game with voice acting as well.

But my main selling point for this was the inclusion of Superman. LEGO Batman got me hooked on the games so I was already going to play a sequel, but seeing how different each of the other characters play, I've very excited and can't wait to play it. Plus, dare I say, it was the best Batman game before Arkham Asylum, and seeing how they handled Superman and flight, I wouldn't be too surprised if we see a Superman game soon after this.

All I wanted was voice acting, I think I'll grab that game now

I'm posting this in here as well to give the game a bit more exposure, as I don't think many people wander into the Darksiders thread.

This looks absolutely fantastic! I can't wait to play it.
