Good riddance to the Dual Shock. I've never liked it. Since the PS1, that controller was always something I tolerated rather than enjoyed it.

I like the dualshock a lot, so hope they don't stray too far. I'd be fine with a merger of the Vita's touchscreen with the dualshock shape though.

Playstation controllers were the first to really feel comfortable to me. Sega Genesis, and SNES controllers mashed my fingers uncomfortably behind them. Dreamcast, and N64 were cluttered and akward. The original Xbox controller was way too big. I don't dislike the 360 controller, but am not a huge fan either. I use the D-pad too much, and am not heavy into FPS's, so that explains some of it. The Wii-U just looks uncomfortable to hold. So I'm hoping Sony doesn't go for a straight rip of them.

Now to wait for the internet drama saying PS4 copyied the Wii-U, because of the touchscreen info.

I remember hearing about it. I remember some article about the Chinese Black Market, which is where people go to get the consoles.

I may be corrected when saying this, but I think hardcore fanboy gamers are some of the whiniest people, especially when you look at gaming comments on websites and forums. If a game in done in a slightly different style, they complain (like ME2 or Splinter Cell Conviction). When a game in the same style, like COD games, they complain.

And don't get me started on PC gamers, especially MMO players.

No, you'd be more than correct with that assessment.

A thread dedicated to just co op talk? Why? Co op discussion for a certain game should go in that game's designated thread. I dont think there needs to be a general thread just for that stuff. Any general stuff can be talked here anyway

So you're saying it WOULD be crazy to start a co-op thread?

I'll be right back...

Article I wrote about co-op games. I reckon we should have a designated 'co-op Lounge'. Would that be a crazy idea to start a thread for that?
Enjoyed that. I like your writing style. Pretty much agree with everything you said there. (couldn't see the pictures for some reason)

Can't speak for everyone but I'd be fine with a co-op thread and would be a regular contributor. In the rare cases when it's been done right, co-op experiences have been among my best in gaming. Unfortunately it's often an afterthought and not treated with the same care as the single player campaign.

Hey Sal, glad you liked it.

I went and created that co-op thread, I posted it just above yours :P

Video Games Are ‘A Bigger Problem Than Guns,’ Says Actual U.S. Senator

[YT]JuiDBr0WnZU[/YT]

On MSNBC today, U.S. senator Lamar Alexander (a Tennessee Republican) set a new benchmark for insanity by claiming that games are worse than guns.

"I think video games is a bigger problem than guns, because video games affect people," he told host Chuck Todd.

Once again, this is an actual U.S. senator. An actual senator from the United States. That was elected to an office. This is a person who has a significant amount of power in this country, and he believes that video games are a bigger problem than guns.

This is a good time to remind everyone that there is no scientific evidence linking video games to violence.

It's all about control, not what causes violence. The Government wants to control as much of our lives as possible.

Conservative politician says something that will please conservative voters, more news at 11.

On that subject:

"Gamers have got to just quiet down," Yee, D-San Francisco, said in an interview Tuesday. "Gamers have no credibility in this argument. This is all about their lust for violence and the industry's lust for money. This is a billion-dollar industry. This is about their self-interest."

Sen. Christopher Murphy D-Conn.

“I think there’s a question as to whether he would have driven in his mother’s car in the first place if he didn’t have access to a weapon that he saw in video games that gave him a false sense of courage about what he could do that day.”

In other words, they all suck.

I wasn't trying to make some kind of political statement. I'm just saying it should be a surprise to no one that a politician says **** that their voters want to hear. There. Is that neutral enough for you people?
