The HULK Thread - Part 1

I don't remember seeing that line (although I didn't see the marketing where it was shown either). Where is it supposed to have been said?

It was in a couple of trailers... but this is a hopeful sign for me that you ask, because it really bothered me. Hey, but I'm nobody, I don't get to do a final edit, I'm just grateful for what I get.

Hulk was awesome. Ruffalo was almost a soresight just because I wanted to see more Hulk.

My usual reaction to Banner...even in the comics I couldn't wait for the Hulk to return.

Hulk talking is literally the best thing to happen to this character.

Not shocking to me. Him being a mute was always the worst idea ever in my book. I actually heard people claim that the audience would not accept him talking. I developed an intense hatred of that 70s TV show for making him a mute in the eyes of the public.

Sounds like 2 really great things are happening for the Hulk in this movie:

1-He talks!!
2-He and Banner are two different beings.

Hopefully they have him talking more in the promos because my own dad was shocked that he was talking so much.

Maybe someone else who's seen the film can answer but if it was in I must have missed it. It did sound a bit too cheesy for my tastes.

I didn't expect it to be anywhere near that much. Wasn't actually expecting much more than the scene on the bed in the trailer, but there's loads of talking in that scene.

There's been a few joy loving versions of Hulk, for example in the often praised EMH cartoon. He did seem to really enjoy getting to smash in The Avengers as well.

Maybe by Infinity War 2 Hulk will be full blown EMH Hulk.

Yes. Will be crazy to hear him giving his opinion on a strategy rather than just an eyebrow movement and grin when told to SMASH! :woot:

Which in itself was awesome.

It was one of the best bits of the film! But it will be very interesting to see how Hulk would react now in a strategy call by Cap again. I really hope we get this in A4, but this time with about 25 heroes to give instructions to rather than just 6.

I'm just waiting to see how many heroes get shafted.

I think with the Russos in charge that number will be as low as possible (at least lower than in the hands of most other directors).

I wonder with the Big Three finally be the Big Three on screen.

Hope so. About time! Thor does seem a bit more central to the MCU after his performance in Ragnarok than he did in Avengers 1 & 2. He has his own team here and hopefully does so in IW/A4 too.

At this point I'd just be happy seeing Hulk stick around with this group of characters. Get Taika to do a "Revengers" film

The Revengers should get some traction. I'd like to see a comic based on it.

Hell no.

Save that for the movie. Don't want them to give away one of the coolest elements of this film. In some ways I wished I had never seen the whole "Hulk like raging fire" bit in the second trailer. I would've geeked the hell out in the theater.

Now that some people have seen the movie, I feel like asking:

Does Hulk ever get stabbed/pierced/slashed at some point in the movie? A simple yes or no will suffice, no spoilers about who does it or when are necessary.

I'm curious because it seems like the general idea is that space swords are just inherently more deadly than any conventional weapon on Earth. So Hulk so far has been shown to be pretty much invincible, with only a shallow wound from the Abomination's elbow spike, a very small amount of blood tracing from his nose after the Chitauri focus fire on him, and one spat out tooth from a series of heavy punches from Hulkbuster.

But now I gotta think that in the cosmic scene, Hulk's opponents could actually impale him or leave a large gash in him.

Agreed. There are so many things I wish I could experience for the first time int he theater. But this darn internet thing sure does make it hard to resist knowing things.
