Well when he got the costume in S1, it was stated that it was still a work in progress because Gladiator didn't have enough time.

Both. I believe Marvel listens to feedback but they always change the costumes anyway so it was bound to happen. i think we will see the DD soon. Also the lenses are clearly not to be seen in ample light but in the show's lighting they look badass!!!

i like how the suit still looks sorta cheap. a bit of a home-made quality to it.

murdock isn't rich industrialist like tony stark or bruce wayne.
he's a lawyer who takes on cases that don't really pay well. his costume reflects that.

Ehh it doesn't really look cheap. The actual costume prop is probably quite pricey.


If he wanted to keep the home-made look he would have stuck with the black suit which really was that. But the show explained how he needed something more heavy duty.
