The Israel-Palestine Politics Thread II

The protests happening is fascinating.

I think a lot of people are fed up with stuff, protests happening all over -- France, Iran.

Apparently, like 16% of Israel's population is protesting. Which is just insane to think about.

Netanyahu wants to be a dictator. :o

Or just not to go to jail. The results are the same.

Sounds like he is giving a militia to one of his far right supporters, who was once convicted of inciting terrorsism, likely to go against the next round of protests.

That and only agrees to delay his judicial changes not end it. Whoopdeedo

Biden: Israel 'cannot continue down this road'; no Netanyahu invite in 'near term' | The Times of Israel

Jacob Kornbluh, senior political reporter at

“It seems this triggered Biden’s comments today. Tom Friedman featured today Netanyahu’s claim that the U.S. government was behind the protests https://nytimes.com/2023/03/28/opinion/israel-protests-benjamin-netanyahu.html It’s known that Biden has the New York Times app on his phone and reads Friedman That’s when Biden became (angry)”

People who question why they should vote for Biden again need to look no further than what's happening in Israel right now.

Far right voters voted Netanyahu back into power after giving him the boot two years ago -- and now that he's back, he's taking his sledgehammer to Israel's democracy. This is a warning for a potential Trump second term if people don't vote for Biden.

That's why Trump scares me to bits. :( He's too dangerous.

Scary times. I feel for all the innocent Palestinians who just want to live in peace with their rights intact.

Crazy thought, the world powers should try to end the occupation and building of illegal settlements instead of pretending that this is a complicated situation.

A bad day for everyone. :(
