The Joker Thread - Part 1

I hope they have him pretending to hit on a couple of people before doing something awful to them just to get all the neckbeards riled up.

He's more like the George Clooney of Jokers.
Fair play because imo that's way worse.

What would you rather be stuck with for a movie trilogy: George Clooney as Batman, or Jared Leto as the Joker?

Hell, I'm having a bad trip just thinking about what it'd be like to see them face off in a movie. Should we be fools not to ride that strange torpedo all the way out to the end!

I'd rather be stuck with Leto's Joker mainly because I think you COULD theoretically salvage something and expand upon that to make him good. I quite like his "I need a machine gun" line. He just needs better direction IMHO because he doesn't really "get" the character by himself.

Clooney is, to me at least, forever stuck with the handsome movie star reputation that I'd very much like to move on from. He seems rather boring to me. But after remembering all the stories he made up about the character to make it bearable for himself while working with Schumacher kinda makes me want to see him try to act as another "car crash"-type Batman again.

I agree. I've always thought it was a shame that Kilmer was the one who got lumbered with the obligatory 'bland' labelling. When Kilmer talks and wears the suit, I at least still think 'Wow, that's Batman.'

With Clooney in the Batsuit, I just think 'Well that's George Clooney in a Batsuit.'

There's no tapping into that small childlike sense of wonder at the back of the mind when I see him in Batman & Robin. He really is quite boring in the role.

That last scene deserved to be in a better movie. I still want to see Freeze done justice in this universe, I'm just not sure where he'd fit in. It looks like they're already setting up the Court of Owls for the sequel, and Mr. J needs to be in the third one.

Should Joker's henchmen remain as Red Hoods, at least some of them? I'm not saying the clown masks are bad or anything, but they just feel a bit stale now.

Idk if you guys have seen me and my friends art related to Red Hood/Joker in this universe based on the whole Drops/Ace Chemicals thing. I think the makeup gang leader who has a piece of his ear missing could have been one of the Red Hood gang members who is now lost without Joker leading them so he has his own group of miscreants now.

My personal story or subplot for the sequel involves the Red Hood Gang wiping out that white face paint gang. I don't really think they're connected.

That poster is coooooool though. "Mr. Drophead" would also be a good codename IMHO

Clooney can’t get rid of his stupid bobble head. I’ll take Leto because I feel like he’s got more to prove in the next few years.

Not a chance.

And I got news for you guys and gals. Leto will be playing this character more times than Nicholson, Phoenix or Ledger.
