Hmm... I don't remember seeing these shots of Ben in the final cut (not surprised). It's such a shame that they had to force him to reshoot a lot of his scenes when he had already gotten out of shape for the role. He had looked perfect while filming under Zack's tenure.

Saw Matthew Vaughn is directing the Kick-Ass reboot so I take it he's out for Superman?

Christopher MQuarrie come on down..

Wait what? A kick-ass reboot? Why couldn't it just be a continuation?

Edit: Read up on this and omg, aside from the Kick-ass reboot, he's making both Kingsman 3 and a prequel set in the distant past dealing with the origins of the spy organisation as well as a Statesman movie. I'm stoked.

This is awesome. Batfleck and Letoker <3

I know I’m in the minority, but I love Leto’s Joker, and I think if they hadn’t cut 2/3 of his scenes that most would at least like him in the role. I can tell exactly what they were going for.

Me too, really hoping he's in Reeves Batman film.

Justice League 2 poster leaked???

Jay Oliva just revealed on twitter that Zack's plan was to move Batman from Miller's version to BTAS one.

Man, that's all I ever wanted. Those two are my favourite takes :(

Also I know a lot of people say that Snyder's cut of JL wouldnt necessarily be his vision for the movie, but Oliva says it would be like 99% his.

This really needs to stop. I'm tired of the what if or what could've been. I love what Snyder did for the DCEU and I was really excited to see where he was taking things but unless they're bringing Snyder back or releasing his version of Justice League or still following the path he plotted out. Then I just think that it's time to move on.

Thats kind of how i feel too. This constant teasing about how awesome Zack's vision was is frustrating. Show us the damn thing if not, leta just move on.

That’s…literally backwards. I guess they could do anything as far as transitioning from one iteration to the next, but that sounds jarring.

Those two are radically different from one another. There’d have to be tremendous grown and development between them in order to make that transformation cohesive.

Why? It's heavily implied in BvS that Batman wasn't that way not so long ago. They just chose to not show him that way. It isn't a stretch to make him go back to his old ways after a particularly dark period where he's been dealing with his own failure.

Putting aside that I don’t think Batman can just go back to his no-kill days, at what point is it implied Bruce was in much better days not long before BvS? Robin’s already dead, Wayne Manor has been decades abandoned, he’s still dealing with trauma from his parents’ deaths, and he has no friendships outside Alfred and Gordon.

BTAS-Batman is a looooong way from that stage and in fact never got to that point.

We don’t have the details obviously, but that seems like a cheating jump as we saw from Snyder’s Supes to Whedon’s. Little connective tissue between them, and we’re just supposed to accept the new iteration because that’s the latest feature.

Far less of a jump because Alfred keeps bringing up how he's changed and his cameos in Suicide Squad would somehow have to factor in. Gordon's line to Batman in front of Aquaman has been truncated, though.

I don't think that's meant to be taken literally.

He probably means he was going to become much closer to classic Batman.

A direction he was moving toward in JUSTICE LEAGUE, reshoots and all.

Wait, he's rebooting a movie he directed?

...what.

I dont think its that jarring. Going from TDKR Batman to 66' Batman? Yeah that's jarring. But from Miller's Batman to BTAS Batman? I can totally see that as a redemption arc. I remember thinking(headcanon) that BvS Bruce was a lot like TAS when he was in his thirties probably. So I can see him transitioning back into that. The BW we saw in the beginning of BvS who was saving kids, running headfirst into danger, helping his employees who seemed to respect him...seemed like BTAS BW to me.

That trope where the character's arc is to revert back to a more heroic/powerful/classic version of themselves that has been eroded, corrupted or compromised throughout the years... I love that trope. Both Batman and Superman were going to become their more classic, heroic selves after undergoing a series of trials and personal struggles.

This whole teasing about what may or could have happened is pretty much equivalent to your ex telling you that they would have married you had you asked right when you're trying to move on with another person:o

In any case, I personally feel that the fans who are hoping that Snyder's vero posts are hinting at his cut bring released are setting themselves up for major diappointment.
