In any case, I personally feel that the fans who are hoping that Snyder's vero posts are hinting at his cut bring released are setting themselves up for major diappointment.

As long as the other side is prepared to eat their words proudly and blow away like sand in the desert. Mmwwuuahahahaha... :yay:

I hope someone kept all the receipts of people smugly saying the Snyder cut doesn't exist just in case it does get released.

Jay Oliva just revealed on twitter that Zack's plan was to move Batman from Miller's version to BTAS one.

Man, that's all I ever wanted. Those two are my favourite takes :(

Also I know a lot of people say that Snyder's cut of JL wouldnt necessarily be his vision for the movie, but Oliva says it would be like 99% his.

So many interesting titbits floating around. I'd love to have seen Snyder's whiteboard with all his original DCEU plans laid out. I am definitely one of those who's sorry that he had to go.

This whole teasing about what may or could have happened is pretty much equivalent to your ex telling you that they would have married you had you asked right when you're trying to move on with another person:o

Tell me about it.

Is it me or does it look like he has eyeliner in the Bruce Wayne pics?

Bruce and Clark suffered from the reshoots greatly.
it was so jarring to watch.

Hmm... I don't remember seeing these shots of Ben in the final cut (not surprised). It's such a shame that they had to force him to reshoot a lot of his scenes when he had already gotten out of shape for the role. He had looked perfect while filming under Zack's tenure.

Damn, where are those from? I don't remember ever seeing them.

Those actually look like Whedon shots to me. They way they're lit and Batman's skin tone looks like Whedon's. I could def be wrong though.

Probably just his crap color grading.

I don't see what's supposed to look good about those shots. Affleck looks kinda goofy in that first one to me.

**** YES

50 seconds of pure unadulterated BATMAN. No dialogue, no nonsense. From what you see and hear, you know exactly whats going down. Always get chills and a big grin when I watch this. Top 3 Batman moments on screen...hands down.

Someone in the comment section was like "why didnt they use this Batman in JL?" honestly man I sympathise :funny:

I also think part of the issue wasn't Joss or the reshoots. I felt post BVS Affleck wasn't as invested in the role as he first was when he signed on.

Nah, he seemed invested and good in the earlier trailers before Snyder left.

I agree, before BVS Affleck was worried that Batman would be a generic superhero role, something like Batman and Robin. Snyder talked him round promising a meatier role, with some psychological depth and the opportunity for him to put his own stamp on the character.

When Snyder left and JL was changed, I think Affleck felt cheated. He was hesitant about taking the role in BVS because he wanted to avoid something like JL. I can see Affleck feeling betrayed, WB changed the deal after he signed the contract.

He wanted the Snyder/Terrio JL, but got the theatrical cut. Like many of us, he's ****ed off by that.

Ben: The deal was I get a psychologically interesting and dark Batman!!

We don't know what is in Ben's head and heart. Any deductions are usually made to validate the narrative we have in our own heads and heart.

No we definitely dont and yet, even before all this drama started I noticed that from day one Ben never seemed...enthusiastic about the role. I remember comic con 2014 he was incredibly stoic on stage while Henry and Gal were all bright smiles. Granted, i think thats when his marital problems started so maybe thats why. Obviously that didn't affect his performance at all and he gave 100%. But externally he always seemed....apprehensive about it all unlike he castmates.

Well it was a very risky and different move for him compared to the other actors.

It might just be me, but Affleck never seemed like the most enthusiastic/outgoing guy... even prior to BvS coming out, he seemed pretty blase about everything.

I think he was just apprehensive. 3 months into shooting JL, when he came to CC2016 he was all smiles. He came out and recorded footage of the crowd cheering him saying its special etc etc. Seemed very excited about everything.
