I've already accepted JL will probably get negative reviews. Spidey and Thor will be fine. My guess is that I will end up loving JL, appreciating Thor, and hating Spidey though.

I keep telling myself that JL will get negative reviews so as to avoid disappointment. But seeing as how almost all the CBMs this year have been critically acclaimed, if JL is critically savaged, it will stand out like a sore thumb. So far, 2017 has been a great year for the high profile releases. I want to see JL end off the CBM wave this year on a positive note.

Speaking objectively, and hope this takes no offense to anyone (mods please delete if you feel it's not appropriate), but I was just wondering, would Zack's personal issues in anyway affect the films critical outcome positively? I'm asking this based on the fact both TDK and Furious 7, while great films in themselves, have undoubtedly been boosted both critically and financially due to the unfortunate passing of one of the main players in their respective films. If I were to guess, my opinion is that even if JL disappoints, maybe it'll average around a 50% score or so, since I can't imagine anyone ripping Zack too savagely on this after what he's been through this year (but then again, there are indeed ****ed up people out there regardless).

While I get what you're saying here, I really do, I just don't think anyone on this board should have the inclination to discuss this. Someone else's life battles are surely not for me to discuss, even in a practical manner such as this. I think maybe this has crossed a lot of our minds at one point, but it's not a discussion we should be openly running with.

Yeah and hes so overinflated it gives the impression that he has very short arms. And that his arms cant hang straight but are perpetually hanging outward. Never ever any need for him to get this jacked. Another example of the more is better/cooler/like-vikings-playing-guitar school of filmmaking.

Hopefully , as a result of his "illness", Supes will sport a slightly less absurd physique on his return. 80's era Ahnold say.

I agree. Its not really important. Lets just say there are always bad apples, and while it may change the level of visciousness for some, I dont think reviewers will do a 180.
