lol @boycotting a film.
It's no sillier than blindly supporting one. I'm not one to join a boycotting a film facebook page myself, but I can't say I blame other fans for doing so.lol @boycotting a film.

And the part about the film lacking fun is the part that really bothers me. The FF are meant to be a dysfunctional family where Ben and Johnny prank each other constantly. Reed Richards is incredibly intense about his work, he's a fast talker, he lacks social graces and doesn't realize when he's boring people when he's rambling. Sue exists to keep the other three in line and is often the only adult in the room. Anything else simply isn't the Fantastic Four. That's assuming its true. I took it with a grain of salt six months ago but it appears a bit more credible with all of the other rumors flying about.

Nah I mean I just think the whole thing about boycotting, at least in my mind, is that youre boycotting for a greater good or something. It's just the way I think of the term "boycott" in my mind. It usually has to due with social change or something of that nature. And to use it with a movie, even if will most likely be terrible, is silly to me.
I would just say Im not seeing the movie. Not go all "fight the power" and act like it's an important thing. But that's just the way my mind works
Well some people take it more seriously than you. No offense. I joined and if boycott is the word to use then so be it. It's better to say no to this film than to get 10 more just like it. Next thing you know, we'll be getting a Silver Surfer movie with a yellow Surfer. No one is marching, just not supporting or spending anything on it.

You've been here since 2008....and you act like this is the first time you have heard anyone on here say something about boycotting a film. I've seen people say that about almost every film announced.
Hey, I agree maam! That's like having a blue Green Lantern. If people support it go for it. If you find a sucker, lick it.There's nothing inherent about the Surfer that says he has to be silver and can't work just as well being yellow.![]()

Has anyone seen this Facebook boycott page? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Boycott-FOX-Fantastic-4/733979860001075
Yeah, I've posted on there a couple of times....
Wish more people would like it though.

How am I acting like this is the first time Ive seen it? Because I laughed? As far as I'm concerned F4 reverting back to Marvel IS THE GREATER GOOD.
Didn't LGBT boycott Ender's Game because of author anti-gay comments? Okay then, it does work. Your welcome.

Lol people are really in their feelings about this. Im not saying support this film or that not supporting this film is a bad idea. I just said the way I associate boycotting with civil rights causes and social change ideas makes me laugh that people are calling to boycott this or any movie just because they don't like the quality of the movie

I never said boycotts or whatever don't work. So I don't know why even bring up Ender's Game to me.
I never said there was anything wrong with not supporting it. Hell I dont support it. I havent seen or heard anything that I like from the movie (other than the use of the N Zone)
As you said I dont take it that seriously. And that's not offensive to me at all. Im proud of that.
It's a movie, it's not gonna ruin my life if this is bad. I mean I love Terminator but the next Terminator being bad isnt that big of a deal to me. I love Superman, but me not liking MoS doesnt ruin my day much.
I'm not gonna see this in theaters unless something comes out that makes me do a 180.

I still feel that they should avoid at all cost trying to tie this FF movie to thier X-verse (if it can actually be done).
They just straightened out their X-men with DoFP as best as they could...to tie that with this film can taint the line if the FF sucks.
I'm out after XM:Apocolypse myself, but there are others who are loyal and really fans of the FoX-Men line and I just feel Fox should wait to see how that movies received before attempting to have the two exist in the same reality.
Of course i know X-Men are in the Marvel universe.You... you do realize that the X-Men were created as members of the Marvel Universe, right? That's what I don't get about people dead set about bringing the X-Men to the MCU. I totally understand liking the current X-Men films, but I don't see how Mutants existing in the same continuity as Captain America wouldn't make sense. It's literally been that way in the Marvel Universe since the first issue of X-Men. There are thousands of X-Men comics set in a world where Captain America and Namor fought Nazis and a Norse god fights crime. Why in the world should the characters not work together on film when they clearly do in the source material?
