The Dark Knight The Man Who Laughs: The Joker Thread 2.0

i think nolan once said that in this batman universe jokers cloth is realistic. because he wants to stand out. so he needs to have this kind of suit. and its true.
love the suit and colors.

Why is realism an aspect that should lie behind the hue of a coat, to any possible extent?

Should we really have to assess whether purple coats are realistic? I notice that, in Britain at least, they're currently quite fashionable. Are they still unrealistic? Are the (predominantly young) women I see wearing them figments of my imagination?

It's funny you say that. I was walking through Marks and Sparks the other day when I came across a rack of leather gloves. They had black, brown, tan and purple. There was like two pairs of purple gloves left and the rest of the colours were basically untouched. Either everyone dressing up as Joker this halloween bought there gloves in there or purple gloves have just come into fashion. Strange none the less.

Pictures of me on Halloween dressed as Mistah J.

I can't understand what you're saying here, exactly  But if it is what I think, then this is the dumbest post I have come across today! :waa:

LOL, I don't know. How bizarre. I have enough of his nonsense posts in the Superman boards.

Once again Andre@s delivers Two shot's of Ledger as The Joker (The second pic is my favorite)

"The videos shot by the Joker were in fact shot and mostly directed by Heath Ledger. For the first video, Wally Pfister came in and checked the lights, the sound guys set up a few extra mics, everyone hid around the corner and they let Heath play. Ledger had been planning to direct and was an incredible collaborator with a great mind. Nolan trusted him implicitly. Ledger’s work on the first video was so fantastic that Nolan wasn’t even there for the second video shoot with Anthony Michael Hall. He gave Ledger the camera and said 'do whatever you want.' Apparently every take Ledger did was different, but always in line with the story and always fantastic."

I think Nolan was not refering to the clothes' "realism" but having the Joker wearing such clothes because of a specific reason that adds something and not just because "it looks cool" or "just like in the comic books."

Holy thread revival Batman!!!

Great pictures!!! I'm gonna get to playing around with them

I was just going to say, I have never seen so much purple as I have this winter. Almost every woman is walking through town with purple coats or boots.

If The Joker appears in another Nolan film and they decide to give him some of his more classical weaponry, how should it be handled?
I'd love to see the electric joy-buzzer done differently than it was in Batman '89.
